As down_under comes to their 4th party at Silo, we continue to programme the night with a selection of some of the most essential artists in Europe, ensuring quality delivery of that pure deep house sound. After the amazing night with Matthias Tanzmann in February, we decided to carry on with a MOON HARBOUR label night in May with two of their hottest artists MARTINEZ and SEUIL.
Moonharbour music hails from Leipzig, Germany and has a reputation as one of the premier house and deep techno labels around. Their artist roster consists of Matthias Tanzmann, Daniel Stefanik, Luna City Express, Marlow, Dan Drastic, Leif & Tom Ellis, Samim, Michal Ho, Simon Flower, Gamat 3000, Jan Krüger, Deep Drawn, Goldfish & der Dulz, Frankman, Hakan Lidbo, Audio Werner, Phil Stumpf, Martin Landsky, John Dahlbäck, & Vincenzo, all cementing the labels exquisite reputation.
MARTINEZ (INHOUSE vol. 3 TOUR)
Towards the end of 2006 Martinez's music taste and productions began to develop in new directions and he ventured deeper into his love for the minimalistic techno oriented sounds. More stripped down and focused on fewer sounds. After a while in the studio experimenting with this sound he launched a new label called: “re:connected”, an output for Martinez's more minimal and techno oriented productions. Martinez's first two releases on re:connected exploded and were highly supported by major international DJ’s such as: Richie Hatwin, Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Väth, Loco Dice and Miss Kittin. 2007 witnessed the continual success of productions in this vein.
His new album "Inhouse Vol.3" ranges from classical house through to the current sound of the clubscene, in which the borders between techno, minimal and house are becoming more and more blurred. The compilation, mixed by Martinez, seamlessly combines tracks of friends of Moon Harbour like Boris Werner and Mathias Kaden, who have previously remixed for Moon Harbour before, artists like Martinez and Vera who are currently the labels' focus, newcomers Dan Drastic & Chris Lattner who are set to cause more sensation in the future, and last but not least: Matthias Tanzmann and Luna City Express - the central members of the Moon Harbour family.
A classically trained musician hailing from the French colony of Reunion, Seuil captured the imagination in 2006 with some great releases. Since then he has continued to enchant with a sound that ranges from lovely deep groovey themes to some quite dark rolling basslines. In 2007, he moves one step ahead to launch his own label named Eklo, contributing to the scene in one more way and hosting on wax artists like Lauhaus, Jorge Savoretti, Heartthrob, Cabanne, Miss Fitz, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss as well as his own creations. In 2008, he follows the story with Eklo hosting new artists in the family like
Laps, dOP, Skat, Posh.. He has being djing for 4-5years now, rocking & grooving any dance floors. Here is a complete & over talented charming musician & DJ. With releases on the likes of Moon Harbour and Freak’n’Chic, plus the development of his own Eklo label Seuil has continued to impress, as I’m sure he will at down_under!
Dynamic Brothers
The Dynamic Brothers are regularly asked to play in clubs and at parties all over Belgium and London. In 2007 They became resident at Café d’Anvers in Antwerp and underground house club Egg in London. They already shared decks with the likes of Matthias Tanzmann, Nick Curly,Giles Smith,... When they’re not fulfilling their passion of playing to a warm crowd, the twins are busy in their studio producing their own material, translating their own experiences into their own productions.
Know for their deep underground house style, they never forget the drive for the dancefloor. Make sure to catch them at down_under!
Dezz Terquez are known from their residency at the fastly growing “Eargasm” –festival and play regularly all around their hometown Leuven. Their music shaped up from deep progressive to a warm, energetic mix of tech-house, hypnotic minimal & techno. They play strong built-up sets, with carefully chosen tracks that never lose touch with the crowd.
Having shared decks with artists like Chris Tietjen, Simon Baker, Eelke Kleijn, … the guys really know how to shake up the dancefloor.
