Assembled in the summer of 2005, Down on Bedford, Geoff Clarke (Vocals/Guitar), Josh Hannaberry (Drums), Andrew Snetsinger (Bass), Dave Thibault (Guitar), is a unique music squad with one sole objective:
To Take Over the World
With their early line-up the band independently released their debut EP, Reality in Shades of Grey, in August '05. At the same time they hit the road for their first Canadian conquest. But day one found the band stalled, literally, when they lost a wheel while driving. A speedy repair, and a new and improved rocket van later the boys were ready to go. A straight fifty hour drive, two fires, and a couple showers in the cold rocky springs and the band caught up with their tour. They would spend the next two weeks working their way back home.
The fall and winter would leave the band the time to work out their plan of attack. They were determined to include all they had learned in their first few months together in developing their strategies.
After a handful of winter dates the band set out for a long trek yet again in the spring '06. Pushing their way through Canada and slipping down into the U.S., the guys delivered their unique style of quirky-pop rock with excitement night after night.
In August the band was able to secure spots on The Vans Warped Tour in Buffalo, NY and Montreal. However, the two dates would turn out to be Andrews last as he left the band in the fall. The other three would be left to reassemble.
After finding a replacement bassist the band played a string of dates throughout eastern Ontario including a few with High 4 Records' Cauterize. After which Dave made a quick exit from the band. He was replaced by Adam Chambers. The new DoB then entered the studio to record three tracks in what was titled: The Down on Bedford's Sessions.
Hidden away at their home-base in Ottawa, ON the guys are currently working on their plan to take over the world.
