I'm starting to feel like I've been at this for a while, enjoying the bright lights, loud sounds and almost annual rebirth of electronic music. The different genres of music and clubs each have a unique way of opening peoples eyes. The one common thread seems to be once you find a genre you connect with it gives you a creative outlet as either a dancer, artist, dj, producer. I've gravitated toward the electronic dance music scene for whatever reason but have had fun playing to hip hop partys, moshing in a dive bar, swaying with the emo crowd, and sipping an overpriced drink in a trendy lounge. My most recent has been learning the techy production side of music with hope for releasing some tracks once I've honed my skills. Outside music, I studied for a BS in Electrical Engineering and work with Exploratorium here in San Francisco.
This might be one of the most techno based mixes I've put up onto the Pure.fm house stream. There seemed to be a lot of great tracks coming out in may across all genres. It was going to be a three segment show with house/techno/trance but turned into this once I got into playing these tracks. I might put up a dance floor house mix to the Get Down Podcast in a week or so but until then its raw techno :) !!
