.... ...... ..DOWNRIGHT ON iTUNES!........ ........ .. DOWNRIGHT is as much an experience as it is a band. They've been called everything from soulful to ferocious, and they cover all points in between. A duo of musicians drawing from varied musical backgrounds, these boys surround themselves with a talented roster of musicians and take an audience for a musical trip into DOWNRIGHT country (where nothing is quite as it seems). Their sound combines elements of funk, psychedelic rock, wild jazz improv and soul music to create a unique blend that goes down smooth and always satisfies. The band toured regularly around the southeastern circuit from 1999 to 2006. .. ..Just listen to any of their three CD's or their 2004 release THE BLING BLING DVD to get a taste of the band's style. At a typical DOWNRIGHT show you will see hard-core fans (members of the "DOWNRIGHT MOVEMENT") singing along with their favorite tunes. Perennial favorites include "Nature Girl," "Fishbowl," (DOWNRIGHT, 2000) "Crunchy Crunchy Popcorn" and "Drinking the Dregs" (Hidden Agenda, 2002) "Bling Bling" ( Bling Bling, 2004), "Cop on a Bike" and "Common Girl" (Guerilla, 2007). .. .. Founding member Steve Lewis moved to New York City in 2006 and DOWNRIGHT released "Guerilla" in 2007. Since then, they've been recording tracks together remotely via the internet and playing a few shows per year. Both Matthew DeVine (the other founding member) and Steve Lewis are involved in many other musical projects, but they still enjoy regrouping to perform and record. The band will be releasing new tracks digitally throughout 2009. They appreciate their fans and relish the opportunity to experience the mysterious magic of DOWNRIGHT whenever they can. .. .. ..Check out these wacky vids!!!! .. ....
