Reformed and reborn in December of 2005 with all new members; singer and original member Matt McConnell wanted to start something new. While keeping the songs from years past on the roster, he wanted to make music that kept up with the times. Original guitar players were mixed and matched until the lineup for that time was formed. The new lineup consisted of Matt on vocals, Nate Cupp on guitars and vocals, Billy Davidson on drums, Phil Murray on bass, Brian Fork on guitars, and Jack Carpenter on samples/keys. The new lineup once again took the local area by storm, winning countless battles across the state of Michigan that would lead them to open for over 50+ national acts by the summer of 2007.
Downseed has been featured on many internet and mainstream radio shows, showcasing albums from 2001, "waiting for nothing", 2007, "The Masquerade", and 2008, "The Revolution". Revolution Music, an independent record label, signed them to a distribution and promotion deal in early 2008, making it possible to spread their seed worldwide.
By early 2009, however,many changes had taken place leaving, Nate Cupp as the only original member left. Determined to keep the seed alive, Nate sought for new members, and eventually found them. Standing alongside Nate Cupp on vocals is Stefan Bickham on guitar, Mike Errante on bass, and Mike Wilson on drums. Heading in a whole different direction, prepare to witness the rebirth of Downseed.

Hey Downseed it's Sully. I just wanted to say that this line up of Downseed is the best line-up ever. Personally, I never really liked your old lead singer voice. Sounded like an American Idol wanna-be, but the music has always been bad ass. Your new sound is fucking amazing. If I get a chance, I will definitly make it to some of your closer shows.
