Downshire is an alternative rock band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. The band has been in existence since 2007 and continues to grow in their creative mix of sound which has expanded the global fan base beyond their expectations. Guitarist and lead vocalist, Ben Stanley, drummer Wil Gradwell and bassist Nathan Rose continue their collaboration in writing new songs and will continue to tour venues around the east coast.
Downshire uses a creative mix of sounds that have been gained from many years of musical experiences. Their songs range from hardcore rock to pop rock and punk. Their many influences have helped them combine ideas into original and powerful stuff.
Their newest album "When All Else Fails" witholds every aspect of Downshire that a listener could want. From fast punk tracks such as "Take it Back" to a 6 minute ballad entitled "Divide", the band truly uses all their strengths to make a heavy hitting and powerful record.

Hi i am participanting in the LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK for leukemia & lymphoma this Saturday October 24th 2009 at the Institute of Texans Culture . My grandma passed away from lymphoma 5 years ago this month. My Grandma was my world she was my lighthouse when I was lost , she was my rainbow when I was under the weather, she was my foundation that made me the great woman I am today. I lost my grandma on October 1st 2004 that was the day I knew would change my life . I am raising money in hopes that I can save one less person from leaving this world or even help one more person stay just a little bit longer here with there family and friends. So that is why i am doing this walk.
