The reality of defense was forthcoming... To not accept that one's existence is in complete jeopardy is UNACCEPTABLE. The percentage of hostile insurgent takeover grows by the second. Extinction is eminent if the enemy isn't engaged and neutralized IMMEDIATELY.

DOWNSPELL was assembled and trained in SITKA, ALASKA in 1999 after the "Cold War of Metal's" slow, but steady take over globally. The Mission Report was sent (via AWACS surveillance) after Allied spies and intelligence agencies received threats from the Southern California Terror Cell. The Commanders took notice and DOWNSPELL was assigned their 1st mission after only two local enemy engagements. This Special Forces unit was sent to infiltrate and regain control of the So Cal Metal scene.

With the majority of hostile enemy fire, hostage situations and guerilla movement just 2 clicks north (which insurgents now dubbed "THE CITY OF ANGELS") of allied territory, Mexico, it was imperative that HQ be set up in a covert, yet dominant location. Operation: DOWNSPELL set up base in SAN DIEGO and setting up it's perimeter around it's initial target: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Takeover was easy. The 6 man underground commando unit flawlessly pinned, disbanded and secured San Diego and surrounding hostile territories. Victory ALWAYS comes with a cost though... 3 of the original members lost their lives and 1 other was critically wounded due to the realities of war. Lessons were learned and attack plans were immediately modified to guarantee the success of Downspell and their new war agenda in 2004.

Teaming up with some of the worlds deadliest mercenary commando squads like ENTOMBED, DYING FETUS, EXODUS, CATTLE DECAPITATION, PRONG, PISSING RAZORS, DISGORGE, ASESINO, EYEHATEGOD, DEEDS OF FLESH, 16, GENERAL SURGERY, CREMATORIUM, SKINLESS, ROTTEN SOUND, THE DREAM IS DEAD, KING DIAMOND and many other international assault units and reputable underground mercenary squads. DOWNSPELL has steadily maintained control of San Diego and the surrounding fortified perimeters. Another key attribution to their survival was superb recon by ROCK 105.3's "..ANOTHER STATE OF MIND.." and "..LOUD & LOCAL.." plus other national and college sound wave stations and intelligence distribution agencies along with random national, top secret radio performances across the Southwest quadrant.

With 2 major battles successfully won on their own terms (2003's "..NO REDEMPTION.." and 2006's "..AFTERBIRTH.."), DOWNSPELL solidified their dominance to the enemy, even though the war wages on... Praise from civilians and local governments alike was overwhelming. This proved to the masses that military intervention in the southern perimeter was not only necessary, but MANDATORY. Many battles were conquered while touring in support of "..NO REDEMPTION.." and "..AFTERBIRTH.." across the U.S. (with little to zero resistance). Now plans to infiltrate and destroy their biggest enemy yet is upon them this Summer. The Operation Code Name is still TOP SECRET but enemy intelligence have uncovered the operation's code name: ..7 DEAD, 6 WOUNDED... With a guest war hero also enlisted along with one of the worlds DEADLIEST mercenaries to help in the operation, failure is not probable. Including Confederate Commando D. RANDAL BLYTHE (1st LAMB OF GOD Infantry) and Demolitions Lt. BOBBY FERRY (Special Forces Unit -16-). These "Soldiers of Fortune" will guarantee Downspell's victory along with the highest amount of enemy casualties.

A battle plan for a small (but forcefully effective) Southwest tour is being strategically planned by the generals as you read this for the Winter of 2009. Also, an invasion of Southern and Northern California is being planned for Spring 2010 with a legendary Grindcore warlord. Statistics are still TOP SECRET until A-Wax intelligence confirms the most effective route and invasion strategies are worked out. Civilian casualties will be EXTENSIVE. Air support will be dropping emergency supplies and info to all cities affected IMMEDIATELY upon confirmation of attack route.
