“Downtown Party Network” is a brand new duo from Lithuania, still in the first year of working together. One half of the project is DJ Saulty, the second being an experienced music producer Bradka.
Saulty has been in the Lithuanian scene for about 10 years now, first learning to spin in his hometown, then moving to Vilnius and acquiring residency in one of the busiest downtown places – “Cozy”. His career has only gone up ever since, involving lots of bookings all around Lithuania and starting his own nights in a relatively new club “Woo”, also in downtown Vilnius. The disco groove dedicated series, “Barbarella” (with a co-promoter Mantas T.) and “Spaced Out”, have attracted a bunch of internationally praised DJs to come along and play, such as Pete Herbert, Daniel Wang, Pilooski, Toby Tobias, Richard Sen (“Padded Cell”), Optimo, Rune Lindbaek, Faze Action etc. While meeting all those favorite musicians of his own, Saulty realized it’s about time to start expressing himself in music as well, and that is how the friendship with Bradka moved into another level.
Bradka, an educated piano player, began producing music in 2002 and abandoned his professional pianist career for the sake of a recording studio. A few hundreds of his created or produced works for different performers, TV identities and commercials are found in his biography. In 2007, Bradka began paying more attention to his own creative work, and since then has been cooperating with San Francisco based world famous DJ and producer Andy Caldwell and with a French recording label “Tubetracks”.
It’s obvious that no mistake could be made during the brainstorming sessions of the two young music lovers from Lithuania. The sessions have lead to the fresh project “Downtown Party Network”, combining the best from legendary disco times, groovy electric additions, proper beat and the undescribable Lithuanian point of view.
Debut single of "Downtown Party Network" out now on Eskimo Recordings!
The second in the Tribute series comes from the Situation posse.
Continuing Tribute’s aim to supply festival inspired battle weapons and
club anthems for DJs, ‘We Love Leon’ rips a guitar riff from a rather
well known pop band and surrounds it with played Situation-style
Balearic goodness and then blends it all together with an ace vocal by
Gill Scott Golden. The result is a highly original and stunning melt of
sound which has already had big support from DJs like Greg Wilson and
which really captures that festival vibe of old.
Cut loud on single-sided heavy weight vinyl, the Tribute series is set to inflict some serious dancefloor damage.
‘Kicked off with this on a number of occasions since the guys gave me a
copy earlier in the year. Really love the way it builds before the
vocal comes in - sets the tone perfectly!’
Greg Wilson
‘BAGGY end of the night hand-raiser!’
Jim Stanton (Horse Meat Disco)
‘Love the vocals. Really cleverly fused with a Balearic groove. Stomping without the pace...ACE!’
Crazy P
‘BIG HIT ALERT ! I Love This! The Vocal is stunning and the feel of this track is so good. I will play this for sure.’
