Dread Pirate Roberts rocks with the intensity of a thousand burning suns. This ensemble hails from Denver, CO and contains these four rambunctious rapscallions.
Matt Bergen - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar, the sheer definition of a gentleman.
Nick Chestnut - Lead guitar, backup vocals, a.k.a. The Regulator, supplying exotic nickel wound string finesse and gentle melody for your soul.
Eric Trevino - Bass guitar, backup vocals, a.k.a The Hammer, providing bass to rock your bottoms!
Eric Martens - Drums, a.k.a. Iron Cobra, creating an insane whirlwind of rhythm while utilizing extraordinary technique.
The original members (Matt Bergen, Krik Severson, Eric Trevino, and Eric Martens) performed for over a year and a half throughout Denver at venues such as The Bluebird, Hermans Hideaway, Larimer Lounge, Cricket on the Hill, Climax Lounge, Oriental Theater, and The Walnut Room. They made sweet, sweet melodies for over 3 years until, in late 2007, Kirk Severson moved on to pursue other goals. Shortly thereafter Nick Chestnut joined the band in hopes of continuing DPR's legacy. Taking aim at modern rock, they intend to provide a blend of genres through the ages. Dipping into the pools of Rock, Blues, Funk, Swing, Adult Contemporary, and of course wading in the shallow end of Metal. They are chock full of energy, enthusiasm, and emotion. DPR (lets drop the formalities shall we) will undoubtedly provide you with hours, perhaps even hours and minutes of entertainment.
