Draconis Infernum was formed by Xepher in late 2005 in Singapore. It currently comprises of guitarists Xepher & Niloc and drummer Seberuz Hammerfrost. The band went through several line-up changes prior to the current one in the early years, and has been rehearsing since its inception.
In December 2007, the band finally entered the studio to record their debut release, entitled "Death in My Veins". It was released in April 2008, limited to only 500 copies. This release is available through bigger distros and labels such as Nuclear Blast, Twilight Vertrieb, Season of Mist, Hammer of Hate/No Sign of Life, just to name a few.
Throughout 2008, the band started doing live shows locally. We have had the honour of sharing the stage with Japanese Death Metal titans DEFILED and HYDROPHOBIA on their Asian tour.
In August 2009, the band played at Barther Metal Open Air Festival 2009 (Germany), emerging as the third Black Metal band from Southeast Asia ever to set foot on the European shores. The band has had the honour of sharing the stage with notable acts such as NEFARIUM, SVARTTJERN, ISTAPP, KOLDBRANN, URGEHAL, DAKRNENED NOCTURN SLAUGHTERCULT, DORNENREICH, GRABAK, BLACK MESSIAH, TROLLECH, OBSCURITY, MOLOCH, BLISS OF FLESH, XIV DARK CENTURIES, NIDHOGG and many more. More overseas shows are being planned for the future and updates will follow accordingly.
