I have always loved to sing. I used to be a vocal soloist while in High School and also was in the Mixed choir, Girls choir, sang and also played the Baritone sax in the Stage Band. Played the Alto and Bari sax in the big band and pep band too. Oh, the good ole days of youth. If I only knew then, what I know now, lol!! I love to read, mostly books on mythologies, pagan beliefs and cultures, the occult, astronomy and other spiritual books. Like I said, I can't forget the dragons, unicorns, witches, vampires and werewolves!!!!!

I have such a wide variety of music I like, mainly depends on my mood!!
I like stuff from some classical to heavy metal and most anything in between!!! Some of the most unusual music to most people would probably be celtic and bagpipe music!!! The type of music I like the very least is rap. I can handle just a very small bit of it, otherwise, the music varies. But I like Journey, the Eagles, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Type O Negative, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, REO Speedwagon, Rush, most of the 80's HAIR bands, most classical music, Kenny G (yes thats right, I know, what can I say, lol) and on and on! Just so much and such a WIDE spectrum of music to list, you name it chances are I like it at one time or another!!!! I know I am strange!!! LOL! Someone else who is so awesome to listen to is a guy named Mark Selby. He is an awesome guitarist and songwriter. Mark and his wife Tia Sillers are both great singers and songwriters and they live in Nashville, TN. Mark co-wrote the song "Blue on Black" with Kenny Wayne Sheppard. He and his wife have also written other famous songs such as the Dixie Chicks song "Theres Your Trouble" and Leann Womacks "I Hope You Dance". It is also so cool that Mark Selby is my Fiance Bill's first cousin. Check out Mark and Tia's web page sometime, it is really worth it!!

I am such a movie buff!!! Fiction and fantasy are two of my favorites, but historical is on top. Just about anything with witches, vampires, dragons and werewolves I like. Gone with the Wind is one movie I can watch over and over again. I also like most movies based on World War II, like Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan and so forth. I like just about any movie that is based on mostly historical facts and about a war no matter what era of world history. I think I would have to say that "Braveheart" with Mel Gibson, (mmmm-good!!) would be one of my favorite movies, if not my all-time fav. Mel looks so good in a Kilt!!!!
Now I also have to add any and all dragon movies, including one of the most recent--"Eragon"! Pretty cool movie and the Dragon's not bad either, lol!! Wish I could have a baby Saphira!!
And of course the great vampire movies like "Interview with a Vampire"! Wish Brad would nibble on my neck a bit!!!!

I like CSI, all of them, and Law & Order, all of them too. I have now gotten hooked on the Fox tv show "Bones", also like "House" and "Mental" (go figure, lol). They are all good shows. I also loved the highlander TV series with Adrian Paul, mmm, mmmm, good looking!!!! It sucks that I can't find that show on any stations!! I have found it on the internet site called HULU, so I don't have to deal with Highlander withdrawal symptoms anymore, lol. Other shows I like are ER and Little House on the Praire. (Thank goodness for HULU, again!) Mr. Ingalls was so much like my dad, at least in my eyes, that is why I still watch it when I can. My main channels I like to watch are the History Channel, A & E, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, The Learning Channel and others that are entertaining yet educational....My kids think I am sooooo boring!!! Ha, ha!!!

I don't have a whole lot of time to read, but when I can I like to read historical books and historic romance books. Also great witch, vampire, werewolf, and dragon books.

One of my heros is my dad!!! He was a simple, but proud, loving man who fought many years of sickness!! He passed away May 17th, 2007. He fought bravely to the end, but now is no longer in pain and misery!!! He is greatly missed by our whole family!! I LOVE YOU, PA!!!!

My Fiance, Bill, is another hero to me. He loves me unconditionally and has stuck with me through thick and thin. He wants me to be all that I can be and lets me be who I am. He seems to know me better than anyone else! I love him dearly and with all my heart. He is a keeper!!!
Other heroes are the men and womenof the U.S. Armed Services, who fight everyday for our great country, our people and our constitution, but most of all for our FREEDOMS!!
And lastly, but not leastly, the brave souls who were killed or injured during the September 11th attacks--my heart goes out to all who died and survived that brutal day!! (the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93) Also to the men and women who that day died or were injured in their attempts to help.

I am just your average all American girl, I guess, but with a few quirks, lol!! I have 3 children, Misty Dawn, Kristy and T.J., who are very important to me and I love with all my heart and soul. I became a grandmother for the first time on Dec 12, 2006. Her name is Serenity Lynn, but don't let the name fool you!! She's not always so serene, lol!! Her and her momma moved out of the house back in January of this year into their own apartment. She so adorable and I think she sometimes knows that! She is so precious and getting spoiled already, but isn't that what grandparents are for??? Ha Ha!!! I love her soooo much!! I will give my life to protect this little girl against anyone, family or stranger, friend or foe or anything who even thinks of hurting this little girl, so all be forwarned, this grandma will take no crap from no one or anything!!
We recently found out that we are having another precious addition to our family!! That's right, I'm going to be a GRANDMA AGAIN!!! I couldn't be happier!! Two grandbabies to spoil!!!! The baby is due December 10th, 2009! Momma is doing great, other than the morning sickness that seems to sneak up on her anytime of the day, LOL. Don't know just yet if it's a boy or a girl. May be able to tell in a few weeks at the next Dr. appt.
Right now I also have the most wonderful man in my life, who I am madly in love with and he loves me. He is so good to me!! He and my kids and my granddaughter are my everything. Bill is his name, and he is the best man I have had in my life, besides my father. He is the ONLY man who has loved me completely for who I am and hasn't tried to change me in any way. He loves my kids unconditionally and supports myself and my children in all we do. He has been more of a DAD to my kids than their own fathers. And he just adores our granddaughter, Serenity Lynn!!
My father recently passed away in May, 2007, after fighting many years of various illnesses. I miss him greatly, but know he is no longer in pain or suffering. I love you, Pa!!!! My mom is having a rough time right now. She stood by my dad through thick and thin with all his sickness. She is an amazing woman and did more than alot of women would have. Alot of women wouldn't have done the many things she did, they would have left. She didn't cause she truely loved my dad and he loved her back just as much.

I love all kinds of animals. My fiance and I have a dog named Tugger. He is something else. He is a Lapsa Alpso, or as my Fiance calls him an "oopsy daisy", cause he can't say lapsa alpso, LOL.
I have had in the past other dogs, cats, a snake, ferrets, a trantula, parakeets and green iguanas. I would some day love to own a horse or two. Preferably live in the Colorado mountains on a small ranch with horses, cattle, chickens and other small critters, have a big garden, and hunt and fish off the land, like people did in the old days. I can dream anyway!!!

I can be very spontantious! I am usually a quiet person around strangers, but once I get to know you, I open up easily. I value my friends and don't gossip. If someone talks to me in confidence, what they tell me goes no farther. I know many secrets of others, but they stay locked inside of me. I am a true friend. I can get along with just about anybody or try to anyway!!!

I love thunderstorms--I am in awe of their power!! Love to feel the rumbling of thunder as it courses through my body. Love the power of the wind, rain,thunder and lightning. I am also fasinated with tornadoes.

I enjoy riding motorcycles, camping, fishing and hiking, especially in the Colorado mountains!!!!! I love the Rocky Mountains. When I am there amongst their rugged beauty, that is when I am the happiest and the most at peace with myself and the world. I have such a sorrowful and empty feeling when I have to leave to come back home to Kansas. I actually cry and my kids think I am weird for this, LOL!! I sometimes wonder if I had lived in the mountains in a past life or something and that is why I feel such a connection when I am there. I love the outdoors anyway no matter where I am at, but the mountains are where I'd rather be!!
I also love anything to do with history, especially the medieval times--knights in shining armour, ect, ect!!! I sometimes think I was born way to late. Like at least 500 years to late, LOL!! I also want to someday attend a renaissance or medieval fair, maybe even dress up for it.
I know I love to dress up goth on Halloween. If I had grown up in a large city as a teenager, I would most likely been goth. I love the look. I have always love to wear black clothes, mostly black shirts and blouses that is! I wear black pants or jeans on occasion. I wore black alot even before I knew what goth was and way before I decided to pursue a pagan path. I just have always liked the color, plus as a bonus it is a slimming color to wear!!

I love to read historical romance books also. I would also like to visit England, Ireland and Scotland someday, mainly to see all the historical places like the castles and such. My Fiance wants to play golf, go figure, lol, lol!!! He and I like playing darts and pool also. I also love to ride with my Fiance on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Love the wind in my hair, but hate brushing out the tangles later, lol! I love fun nights out with my family, but also cherish those nice quiet evenings just chatting while watching tv. I am a romantic at heart, but have my wild side also. I am like a onion, with many layers. I am simple but complicated at the same time on the inside. I have been dealing with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Sleep Apnea and all that goes with these things for about 8-10 years now, but I try not to let these things run my life. I have some days that are much better than others and for the most part my family is supportive and understanding. I do what I can when I can. Can't let things like these stop me from living the kind of life I want to. Sometimes that is more easily said than done, especially when my mind and heart are willing, but my body says "Whoa, hold on, let me catch up", LOL!!
