I live in Mobile, Alabama with my husband, a crazy "cat man"(like a "cat lady", different gender)and our child. Roger(my husband) and I used to own a wonderful little original alternative nightclub here called Culture Shock where we worked 18 hours a day and got to live our dreams for a while.
We hosted bands from all over the US and Canada, including Sebadoh, Crowbar, Acid Bath and Man or Astroman? Often these bands would stay with us at the club, sometimes I would break down and cook something for them, more often we treated them to fast food because our cooking facilities were not all that.
This is a video of one of my favorite bands that played at Culture Shock. Their name was Pain but the music was anything but painful. Or depressing.
That was a great time and I will always remember it fondly. These days I make one of a kind, entirely hand crafted sterling silver and gem stone jewelry for discriminating women. My favorite gem stones are those with interesting optical properties like opal, moonstone, labradorite and kyanite. Another favorite is ruby in zoisite, its beautiful dark teal looks perfect with the opaque reds.
