Who I'd like to meet:
ABOUT BRIDGET:THIS IS OUR LEAN, MEAN, EATING MACHINE! SHE'S ONE FIERCE LADY.
ABOUT ERIN:Erin has been waiting for ten years for someone in Asheville to realize that a tattoo studio within an
upscale salon is the greates idea ever. Especially when the ultimate natural and organic hair and skin care products
are utilized by a highly qualified and enthusiastic staff. She got tired of waiting and so she made it happen. Erin
is the sole owner of Dragon Lady Salon as well as one of its tattoo artists. She has been tattooing off and on for
ten years, and looks forward to tattooing more on than off at this point. Now that she has seen, in the last four
months, that the food and beverage industry will not collapse without her, she is much more comfortable handing over
the bar wench reigns to someone else and persuing her true calling: tattoo artist extrordinare and dispeller of
sub-cultural xenophobia. Her goal is to create an environment in which her mother would be comfortable getting a
hair cut; we think maybe she has arrived.
ABOUT DANNY: Danny received his Permanent Cosmetic training from Premier Pigments, the leader in permanent cosmetic
pigments & education. He uses only pigments from Premier Pigment, as they manufacture the world’s finest permanent
cosmetic makeup. Danny uses the highest quality materials on the market, which are required to meet the rigorous
safety standards of the Alliance for Safe Practice – standards that are even stricter than those of the Society of
Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. The are NO iron oxide residues in the pigments Danny uses. And if I were going to
trust someone to come at my eyeballs with needles, it would be him. He looks kind of like a scary biker, but really,
he's just a big, gay teddy-bear.
ABOUT KIMI:Kimi Leger started tattooing in 2004. She enjoys focusing on portraits as well as designing pieces that
flow with the natural shape of the body. Her styles of choice include Japanese, organic, and urban. Her favorite
mediums include tattoos, pencil, ink, and acrylic on canvas. She loves interpreting people's ideas into art they
will cherish forever. As an added bonus, she looks like a Asian-hottie assassin.
ABOUT CODY:Cody is 26 years old and is the general manager for Dragon Lady Salon. She has been a licensed
cosmetologist for eight years. She received her degree from the Northern Institute of Cosmetic Arts in Cleveland
Ohio, and has since acquired continuing education with Bumble and Bumble, Tony and Guy and Paul Mitchell. Cody is a
boarder-line fanatic about precision cutting and coloring, and is the queen-goddess of the up-do. She revels in the
excitement of wedding parties and thrives on the creativity she is able to infuse into each and every service. From
manicures and pedicures to cuts, colors, facials and waxing, Cody does it all. Seriously, guys, she even wields
flaming balls on chains around her head, but that's a whole different story.
ABOUT SAM:Sam Martin is a Modern Primitive and a budding Shaman: She has a deep personal investment into body
modification. Sam began this spiritual journey over ten years ago by delving into branding and body scarification.
She began piercing in ritual space five years ago. She has taught/demonstrated on these and and other topics
throughout the Southeast. Sam has a deep desire to bring the lost ritual and trans formative rites back to body
piercing/ modification. Sam decided to further her education by attending Fakir Musafar's Basic Body Intensive in
San Fransisco, CA. Her ultimate goal is to imbue each individual with the love, strength and primal energy that is
so essential for survival in our modern society.
ABOUT PAULINA:Tattoo Artist- Hailing from Sunny Miami Beach, Fl, Paulina is the youngest of an Argentinean Father
and Ecuadorian Mother. Growing up, she was deeply involved in the arts, music, theater, and graphic design. In 2005,
she dropped out of law school and moved to Haleiwa, HI, and under the encouragement of her new husband, decided to
pursue the art of tattoo. After completing her apprenticeship in 2006, she and her husband moved back to Florida
where she continued learning and tattooing. After working in a couple shops, she finally found her niche at Jolly
Roger Tattooing, in Crystal River, FL. She has recently decided to explore the rest of the country, which has
prompted her to relocate to Asheville, NC, where she currently tattoos at Dragon Lady Salon. Her interests include
painting in oil and acrylic, mural art, sculpture, writing, jewelry design, cooking, and make-up artistry. Her
number one influences in her life are her family and music. "I cannot live without both my family and music; they
are what gives me my air to breathe and the rhythms to move through life."
ABOUT KITTY: have been a professional tattooist for over 18 years, and I have been a practitioner of alternative
spiritual forms for almost as long. Most of the tattoo clients I serve are engaged in a transformative experience.
In our culture, we are bereft of ceremonies designed to mark personal transformations that are not weddings and
funerals. We have many milestones in our lives, and many people choose tattoos to mark these milestones. For this
reason, I have chosen to offer an intentionally ritualized tattoo experience, supporting and strengthening the
client’s important life passages.
The tattoo ceremony can be designed to meet a vast array of spiritual life paths and belief systems. It is meant to
support any spiritual and psychological transformation, and is thus custom designed along with the tattoo image to
meet the needs of the transformation process. Ideally, the tattoo is created to be a permanently charged talisman of
power for the wearer. This requires the design, the application event, and the accompanying consultations and other
creation processes to be in alignment with the intent of the client, and their desire for healing, redirection,
celebration, commemoration, discovery, recommitment, and more.
