(03-04-2007) New Shows!
After our performance in the Fenix we got a phonecall from Moonstock, we will be playing in Café Gorissen in Brunssum on 22 April, together with a.o. Grand Theft Apple and 21 Eyes Of Ruby.
We also got a message from the new festival Knastercross 2007, this is a event on 2 September and we will get on stage that day! We are really happy with the new gigs!
(31-03-2007) Finals Podiumvrees!
Wow! There has happend a lot around Drag The Racer lately! We managed to get to the Finals of the Podiumvrees-contest in the Fenix on 30 March! It was a briljant night! Very good bands, and we put down our best show ever! We enjoyed ourselfs very much, we ended in third place, not bad at all! The winner: Siren, lot's of congrats to those girls! They REALLY deserved to win! What a great band they are! WOW!
To make a long story short: Podiumvrees 2007 was a fun experience for Drag The Racer! On to podiumvrees 2008!

Yeah! Now is the time that we present to you our new logo, created by Ed van Hees. Please tell us what you think about our new layout and about the logo! Leave a comment or just send a message! Soon, our new website will be ready too! Our webmaster Mario is working his ass off to finish the website as soon as possible!
(05-02-2007) New Gig
On March 17 we will be playing at a rocknight in BarRock in Maastricht. Two other bands will be on stage that evening: Sparrow Falls and The Mad Trist. Come check our bands out!
(04-02-2007) Podiumvrees
We've been selected to take part in the bandcontest Podiumvrees. The band who wins, gets to play on the Mama's Pride Festival, May 12 & 13 in Geleen. There are three prerounds, we will play at the first one in JC Downtown in Sittard. Be There!
(31-01-2007) Line-up W.A.F.
The band-contest Weerter Amateur Festival has announced their line-up for W.A.F. 2007 on their website! From now, there will be a dossier about the contest on 3voor12/limburg too. We'll be playing in the 3th preround along with these bands: Sat2D, Charlie & The Welfare and Candy in Helsinki. Check the W.A.F. website for more information!
(28-01-2007) New Logo Ed van Hees (Sparrow Falls) has designed us a new logo and typo! We want to thank him for that, we are all very pleased with the way they turned out! Soon we will update our myspace and website in the new style! Merchandise and stuff coming up! Lot's of good things happening here!

English Biography
Drag The Racer
DRAG THE RACER from Sittard (The Netherlands) has been around for quite a while now. For years the guys have been moving around in the Limburg rock scene.
First, in the form of the band called Yo, el Rey. At one point there were some changes. Thijs (former Superhero) joined us on the bass and Peter van Mulken on the drums. In that formation we almost made it to the finals of Nu of Nooit 2006. After that amazing show Peter moved away and quit the band, forcing us to take a break.
But that didn’t stop us! In the end it worked out for the best, as we finally found the drummer we were looking for in a new, young and energetic guy called Paul Van den Hof (former Epiphany), so once again we are ready to ROCK the stages.
You will hear us perform old and brand new songs these days. We’re still working on new songs and you can expect a new EP later this year!
DRAG THE RACER is known for it’s energetic 'ALL OUT' performances.

So be prepared for a mix of Rock, Grunge and Hardcore.

Drag The Racer gaat hard, heel hard!!! De band mengt de energie van At the drive-in met de pompende rock-metal van bijvoorbeeld Life of Agony tot een rockshow die je niet snel zal vergeten. Hun muziek bevat invloeden van Alternative en Grunge tot Punk en Stonerrock. De band houdt zich niet strikt aan een bepaalde stijl waardoor het repertoire divers en boeiend blijft.
De demo cd “Running on Karma (old style)” is een verzameling van nummers gemaakt door de leden van Drag The Racer uit het heden en verleden, maar de nummers worden allen nog steeds ten gehore gebracht. Deze cd wordt dan ook uitsluitend gebruikt ter promotie van de band.
Drag The Racer opereert vanuit Sittard (Limburg, Nederland) met bandleden die in het verleden hun strepen hebben verdiend in bands als “Yo, el Rey”, “Rogue”, “Superhero” en “Epiphany”. Ze hebben dan ook al heel wat ervaring binnen het popcircuit.
Drag the Racer is er helemaal klaar voor. Dus dames en heren: Fasten your Seatbelts!

jowjowjowjowwwwww!! waddup! zaterdag gaan we zeker weer dik knallen! vet dat je komt kijken paul en trek de band en iedereen die je kent aan zijn haren mee :) moet je waarschijnlijk wel via de grote poort naar binnen komen anders trek je waarschijnlijk iedereen zijn haren eruit, ghegheghe...
