Well, to tell you a little about us, We’re from San Luis Obispo Ca, we’ve been together 6 years. Dragwater has a mixture of songs, leading from: Death, Hate, Love,Drugs, Core Beliefs and Inner Sanity. Heavy melodic guitars, bass and drums, mixed with catchy, yet heavy at times, vocal hooks, gives Dragwater the seperation from most Hard Rock acts today. Songwriting and style have been the main bearing behind the bands success, and continues to improve on that aspect all the time.
Dragwater offers an In Your Face approach when they perform. whether it is bassist Steve jumping into the crowd, or vocalist Sean all over the stage, blowin out the speakers. "If you don’t know who Dragwater is when you show up, you will know them by the time you leave!" says Carlos Perez, lighting and stage management for C and C Productions and Bodog Ent. Dragwater has signed deals with a variety of companies to help channel their music. Such as the Porn Company "Lucky Devil" where Dragwater’s song "Burn" is featured at the start of various movies released throughout 2005, 2006, 2007.
The motion picture "Headspace" has Dragwater’s song "I Believe" Featured 2007
Video Nascar used the song "Burn" to feature it’s racers in a promo package in 2005.
Dragwater is also a proud member of ASCAP and has recieved Major Radio Airplay for the song "Every Part Of Me" which stayed in the top 20 for over 6 months with 107.3 The Rock, during the summer of 2005.
2004, 2005, 2006,2008 Dragwater has been placed on the "Slo & Dysfunctional" Compilation disk for 107.3 The Rock, included as one of the "Best Bands in Central Ca."
Dragwater entered a Nor Cal battle of the bands ( BODOG ) in late 2006 and out of 876 bands entered, Dragwater made it to 22 ( we would have gone farther, but the judges didn’t show up till after we and 4 other bands had finished playing the show) Bodog ughhh..
Dragwater has also made a change in the lineup with the new addition Steve Gourley on Bass, you can find his pics in the picture area of our site.
Dragwater is set up to hit the studio in March of 08 to record two songs "Alone" and "Save me", soon after, dragwater will be putting out it’s first CD, along with a video of the song "WHY" as well as footage of live show’s, interviews, and some fuckin off on their free time. If anyone has pics or video footage they would like to have shown, contact us and we’ll get it from you and put your name on the credit!
