About Drake
Drake -- musician/actor --- was born Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is Canadian of course, but is also of African-American and Caucasian descent. He attended Forest Hill Collegiate Institute (high school), where he began acting. Since 2001, Drake has been playing the character of Jimmy Brooks on the popular TV show, Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has also had various roles in several movies. Drake rolls with the ATF (All Things Fresh) crew and reps Toronto to the fullest. Drake has released 2 hip-hop mixtapes : Room for Improvement & Comeback Season. Drake has worked with artists such as Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Rich Boy, and Robin Thicke. Drake's first single (Replacement Girl feat. Trey Songz) became the first video by an unsigned Canadian artist to premiere and play on BET's 106 & Park back in 2006. He has gained recognition all over the world for his rapping and singing talents. After recently inking a deal with Interscope Records , a new highly anticipated debut album is in the works for 2009 as well as a new mixtape.
