Biography Drakkar Snekkja
The saga starts in summer of 2002 in Mexico City, Francisco Delgado and Rodrigo Acevedo were talking about play something different in the metal scene in aztec lands. They were in other bands Canserberia and Kthouga thanks you guys! Cheers! And then they decided to prepare the battlefield to begin to play the first piece calling "The Battle" song that is marked by hatred and power that were contained in the original elements, then Iker Rivera takes his part as a back horde and he contribute to made the second piece "Dreams of Vinland" that come to arise the Viking influence, nevertheless by musical differences Iker decided to get off the ship and end in good terms with the band. Then Victor Villa come to be an essential part of the crew creating riff's that sounds like a crushing swords and in the middle of the battle. In that moment with the two first songs Francisco invite Jorge Martinez (Xipe Totec and Across the Time) to get in the ship and made sound the horn of death and conquer our enemies and get the victory! Something was missing in the formation of the black hordes and we accorded that Erick Vazquez should be part of the troops and then with all the pieces ready to fight we started to make the rest of the their first demo calling "The Resurrection of the Black Hordes" and that is how Drakkar Snekkja was born...The saga continues whith our swords in the air waiting to fight !!! DRAKKAR SNEKKJA se formo en el verano del 2002 en el estado de México, (echegaray) con francisco delgado (alias "cabra") en la batería y Rodrigo Acevedo (alias "zz") en el bajo........
......eran tiempos difíciles para la escena ya que paco había roto su relación como baterista de canserberia y el zz ex kthouga había estado mucho tiempo sin tocar, sin embargo los astros se alinearon conformando así la constelación del dragón que dio como resultado este encuentro que fue breve, pero dio pie a la primer pieza del dragón llamada "the battle" pieza que esta marcada por el odio y la energía que estaban contenidos en ambos elementos primigenios, luego se unió a la horda el señor iker rivera (alias "ike") que colaboro en la creación de la segunda pieza llamada "dreams of vinland" en donde se notaba mas la influencia Viking que lleva la banda, sin embargo por diferencias de estilos musicales iker decidió bajar del barco en buenos términos, y para entonces víctor villa (alias "molis") estaría ya firme en el proceso de integración a la banda, acto seguido apareció jorge mtz. Mejor conocido como "lepra" en la vox pero algo faltaba en la banda y fue cuando se tomo la decisión de que zz se cambiara a su instrumento original (guitarra) y erick v. Entraría como bajista, a partir de este momento es cuando las demás creaciones de Drakkar Snekkja comenzaron a madurar en estilo y sonido creando asi una de las pocas bandas con un sonido diferente y original en lo que a Viking metal (lógicamente con la fuerte influencia del black metal ) se refiere: sin teclados y sin female vocals solo black fucking metal y con esto Drakkar Snekkja levanta sus espadas y lanza sus gritos para matar a todo aquel que se ponga en su camino...
Drakkar Snekkja a estado tochando en el DF, área metropolitana, Toluca, Hidalgo, Veracruz y próximamente Acapulco, San Luís Potosí, Querétaro, Oaxaca, Nuevo León...y esta abierto a donde la banda los kiera ver tochar
A mediados del 2006 el hueso decide dejar el dragon por cuestiones personales y pues el Drakkar le desea larga vida y prosperidad en sus proyectos..hail hueso hail hail ¡¡¡¡
También nuestro compañero zz decide salirse por cuestiones personales y nuevos planes que tenia, suerte eterna a nuestro guerrero
Aun así continuamos con Drakkar Snekkja y seguimos tochando en los eventos que nos invitaron: cervantino, puebla y tochines en la ciudad de México.
A finales del 06 entra en la alineación jorge (hobbit) en el bajo y continuamos con la nueva propuesta pagana en México, en Febero regresa nuestro primer liro que es Iker, rapidamente se aprendio las canciones, ya esta dentro del barco y es la neta ¡¡¡¡ por fin estamos completos y listos para romper madres...
Próximamente estaremos armando tochines por el norte del país y pronto esperamos tocar en una mini-gira en Europa central y escandinava.
