"HARDCORE from Barcelona-Spain! maybe this is their second 7ep. they are all women except bassist. their metallic guitar riffs associated with CRO-MAGS. i think sounds like "Midnight Resurrector"(cool japanese metallic band). energetic songs with great tempo changes, beatdown and high tension, great woman's screaming are making these songs very memorable. they have good perform skill. so cool! for fans of "Midnight Resurrector"! including 4songs!"
Looking back, we realise that we've never stopped, it all takes its own time to run. We started off slowly, about the middle of 2003 when a previous band of Elena and Silvia splitted up and Michelle joined the new project. Michelle started playing the bass, but she soon became the singer because of her potent voice. So the band was searching a bass player for several months. At last Pablo joined the band in june 2005. By then, Drama (the name was taken from L7’s song) had played live, the first time at Clitocorezine' release show.
Recording a demo was our desire during a long time, but the opportunity to play abroad turned it into a need. We released a DIY demo composed by 7 songs. During December 2005 we had the chance to play in three cities in Germany (Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden) and in the Warsaw Ladyfest in Poland. It was great to play there, we are glad to have been involved in that project and we still support the Warsaw and everywhere Ladyfest organization.
Later in spring 2007 we reached three important aims for us: playing in the Take Back the Night’s feminist festival in Hamburg (our total support and love for the girls from Hamburg!), recording four songs at AlamoStudio, that are featuring in our debut 7”. Our aims now: more shows, more songs (and of course, more records), more stickers, more t-shirts and more cool people to meet on the road and share the stage.
Mirando atrás, nos damos cuenta de que nunca hemos parado, todo requiere su tiempo para funcionar. Empezamos despacio, a mediados de 2003, cuando la banda anterior de Elena y Silvia se disolvió y Michelle se unió al nuevo proyecto. Michelle empezó tocando el bajo, pero pronto se convirtió en la cantante por su potente voz. La banda estuvo buscando bajista varios meses. Al final Pabló se unió a la banda en junio del 2005. Por entonces, Drama (nombre tomado de un tema de L7) ya había tocado en conciertos,por primera vez en el concierto de presentación de Clitocorezine. Grabar una demo fue nuestro deseo durante un tiempo, hasta que tuvimos la oportunidad de tocar fuera, entonces se convirtió en una necesidad. Sacamos una demo DIY con 7 temas. Durante diciembre del 2005 tuvimos la oportunidad de tocar en tres ciudades en Alemania (Berlin, Leipzig y Dresde) y también en el Ladyfest en Varsovia. Fue genial tocar allí, estamos contentas de haber formado parte de ese proyecto y aún apoyamos la organización del Ladyfest en Varsovia y en cualquier parte.
En diciembre del 2006 volvimos a la carretera, en un Twingo (sí en un twingo!!!), para tocar en Zaragoza y el País Norte. Más tarde, en la primavera del 2007, cumplimos tres importantes objetivos para nosotras: tocar en el Take Back the Night, festival feminista, en Hamburgo (todo nuestor apoyo y cariño para las chicas de Hamburgo!), grabar cuatro temas en el estudio del Wero, que son parte de lo que es nuestro primer 7", y organizar otro concierto del Clitocore. Y a partir de ahora: más bolos, más canciones, más pegatinas, más camis... y más caña!
Seriously... when are you going to make a trip to the USA? Even if it is just the East Coast or something, I'd like to help book some shows if you can make it out here :)
