About me:
According to the Center for Disease Control, 1 in 150 children have been diagnosed with autism.. and the numbers are growing! C.A.R.E., the Center for Autism Resources and Education, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency dedicated to serving families with children with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. We developed "DRAMAUTISM," a dramatic arts program targeted towards children with high-functioning autism and Asperger's Sydrome. Through various activites such as theatre games, puppet shows, scriptwriting and improv, we help the children build their communication and social skills, as well as self-esteem. We focus on the "uniqueness" of each child in a supportive, loving environment. We see autism as an "ability," not a "disability." All God's children are equal in His eyes. Classes start again March 1, 2009 at CBS Studios in Studio City, CA. For more information, please email Debra Clark at dclark0704@yahoo.com.

April is Autism Awareness Month!
It is also a chance to applaud and celebrate
those we know and love on the spectrum for
all that they are and all that they do to try and
navigate through the world.

Lets not forget all of the parents, teachers,
doctors, friends and adults on the spectrum
who work so hard 24/7, 365 days a year
to bring about better education, acceptance
and understanding.

The journey may not be easy, but
remember that you are not alone!
Hugs and Blessings (in April and always),
Tricia

Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be."

"May there always be work for your hands to do, may your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine on your windowpane, may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you, may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
" - Irish Blessing
