MySpace a place for friends

Dr.Atomik's debut album was produced and recorded by Antonis Livieratos (at hobART phASe STUDIO, Athens, GR) and Mixed and Mastered by Paul Hamann (at SUMA, Painesville, OH, USA). The album is released in Greece by Hitch-Hyke.

a. THE LEGEND

 DR.ATOMIK, the notorious Super-villain is now trying to use the world's most wide spread musical language (that is Rock 'n' Roll) as to accomplish his obscure ambitions... He has set up a band for the purpose that, of course, bare his name. Thanks to a sophisticated system of remote controlling devices that he has invented himself, he is able to manipulate the musicians from afar, without discontinuing his voluntary isolation in his personal fortress...

b. THE FACTS

 DR.ATOMIK appeared for the first time almost four years ago. Three drummers, two bassists and a violin player came and went before the band settled at their current "three-musicians-plus-a-video-artist" line-up. Antonis Livieratos (www.livieratos.gr) is the main songwriter of the team. He has been actively involved with the Greek rock and experimental scenes as a musician and producer for more than two decades. Besides his 3 solo albums he is a a founder member (since 1982) of the still active "Chapter 24" band. He has also been a member of the bands "Sigmatropic" and "Illegal Operation". Adonis Goulielmos credits include bands "Rockin' Bones", "Fella" and "Cosmic Teds".

c. ON STAGE

 Until some months ago, DR.ATOMIK's live show used to consist of two musicians (handling guitars, a laptop and an organ) playing in front of the screen where the "moving pictures" (live video art created in real-time by band's third member) were projected. In January 2008 a drummer was added to the line-up. Never expect two Dr.Atomik gigs to be exactly the same.
