"Hopping from unplugged folkiness to mains-powered ragged rock, Cardiff’s Draw Me Stories put a little soul into all they do. Updated traditionals with some powerful hollering attached." - Swn
"Draw me Stories caused most of those still capable of rational thought to fall in love with them, and those not so capable to believe they’d actually married them." - Oxjam Music Festival 2009
"The bluesy-ness of the 60s incarnation of Fleetwood Mac and the voice reminiscent of Jim Morrison...It's good!" - BBC Introducing Bristol
"Dark and raw and yet perfectly polished and professional...No doubt helped along by the fact lead singer Carl Hodgetts has the kind of Ian Curtis/ Paul Banks voice that makes girls go weak at knees!" - Music News Unsigned

The energetic Draw me Stories provide the ears with a "wonderful" and "uncompromising" brand of music. Whilst they march happily under many musical banners they never stray away from the organic style that makes them so appealing. The driving, scattering rhythms, groove-laden guitars and haunting folk-like vocals bring to mind something that is both epic and humble. By the end of their first year their unique and reassuringly primitive sound attracted many kind reviews and worldwide airplay. The acclaim attached to their acoustic album 'The Unplugged Sessions' suggests that Draw me Stories are completely comfortable, and indeed capable, of exploring the many sides of their creativity. Their forthcoming EP, 'The Sky and the Mirror', may suggest that all this is just the tip of the iceberg...
