Im Sommer sehnt sich kaum jemand nach grauen Novembertagen. Wochenlang kein blauer Himmel. Drei Grad Plus, Nieselregen. Irgendetwas scheint aber in solchen Tagen zu liegen, ein Gefühl, das sonst vielleicht nicht zu haben wäre, und das sich entgegen allen Vorurteilen von Selbstmitleid und depressivem Pathos ganz fundamental unterscheidet.
So ein Novembergefühl nachzuzeichnen haben sich „Draw November” vorgenommen. „Uns geht es um eine herbstliche Stimmung, aber nicht im Sinne einer Depression, sondern eher im Sinne eines guten, ehrlichen und kraftvollen Gefühls, das man haben kann, wenn alles Unwichtige in den Hintergrund tritt”, meint Sänger Jo Zaar. Und in der Tat entwickeln die Songs von Draw November trotz ihrer Traurigkeit eine befreiende Kraft, gerade weil hier auf alles Unwesentliche verzichtet wird.
