My images are of modern man they show us as often agitated and slightly ill at ease. They document our imperfect place in time, our fears joys and existence . The people who inhabit these paintings are not usually content to be there perhaps fearful of being called to account for some past crime or misdemeanour. Framed in a shallow box these enclosures become both a reliquary and a prison.Experience working with troubled individuals continues to impact my art
