  • Bio

The Dr. Bones Gospel Blues Project is a Victoria BC Christian blues band, inspired after John and Gail Bones attended the 2007 "Back to the Gospel Blues" Festival in Chilliwack, The band quickly found its niche playing at the Mustard Seed Street Church Saturday night meals for low income and homeless folks in Victoria. After only 6 months, the band was invited to perform at the 2008 "Back to the Gospel Blues" Festival, and played there 2009-12. It has played the Saanich Agricultural Fair from 2009-12. It has also found a niche playing at local and lower mainland prisons. It has also donated its time and energy to numerous local fund raising events for worthy causes. Dr Bones also brings its message of hope to bi-monthly free Celebrate Recovery meetings and a Street Breakfast". It's been awesome watching God work through the music we bring to those who are not interested in formal "church." We play for Him and trust we do not lose sight of Him through our own ambitions. Dr Bones Blues is "God's prescription for what really ails ya."
