Luca Gatti AKA Dr.Cat is an Italian born producer, keyboards player and composer who came to England 14 years ago.
Since 1995 he has written, produced, remixed various artists here in England and Italy,
Together with producer Roberto Vernetti he has recorded albums with Irene Grandi, Ornella Vanoni, Angela Baraldi and produced 70’s Italian icon Patty Pravo.
In 1999 he remixes Italian cult band “99 Posse”.
The same year he begins working with General Levy and Rocco Barker at the project Spacepolice, a mix af Rock/Dub and Electronics.
In 2001 he writes together with Paolo Polcari (Almamegretta) the soundtrack for the Italian Movie “ Lunarossa” presented at “Venice Film Festival”.
In 2002 he writes a track for Extreme Music currently used by one episode of the series “The Osbournes”.
At the same time of writing and producing he plays keyboards with Z-Star and the Spacepolice, touring in Italy, England, France, USA.
The same year together with Max Iovine and Claudio Marino from “99 Posse” he tours Italy with a show called “The Dr.cat Experience”
In 2003 he works at the recording of Z-Star first solo album, co-producing 4 tracks.
The same year he teams up with long term friend, world’s class producer Gaudi and Paolo Polcari to produce a Dub album called:
“Weird Dub”, released worldwide on I-Tunes.
In 2004 a new collaboration begins with DJ “San Jay” from Asiandubfoundation.
Their collaboration as producers leads to Kaleidoscopemusic.
Together in 2005 they produce and release “No warning in Paradise” a track inspired by the Tzumani disaster, released in a charity album by Italian Dj Pony of “Feelgoodproductions”, “Mad-World” in relief for Emergency
In 2004 he is also on tour as keyboard player with Raiz (Almamegretta) on the Italian WOP TOUR.
November 2005.”Passo a 2 Original Soundtrack”. to the homonymous movie Passo a Due is released, 3 of Luca’s songs are included.
In 2005 a long term project “ Diaspora” a collaboration with violin player Baeegh Ramsy and Oud player Stephane Rene has a major break when Diaspora gets involved with arranging a brand new west-end show on the life of colonel Gaddafi

In May 2006 Feelgoodproductions long awaited Funkadelica V2 gets released and
2 of his tracks are included Streets of Katmanu and La Esperanza
April 2007 long awaited Diaspora’s new album Title Raggae Arabesques is ready for distribution.
June 2007 FeelGood Productions new compilation Balkanica includes Diaspora’s Balcan Train.
Since 2008, Luca is working at his new solo album and reworking some of the music from the show: “Gaddafi a living myth” for a forthcoming release.
The dr.cat experience mixes Electronica and Ethno-Dub.
Vibrant basslines, enchanting dubs and phunk that will have your feet irresistibly stepping, eclectic instrumentals that take you through both lively and arcane landscapes, firing vocals, all structured around the original compositions of Luca Gatti, AKA Dr.cat.
In this upcoming show, Dr.Cat is accompanied by the talented Mr Numan Elyer on Darbucka (Stereo MCs-Oojami), Aktarv8r (Nasha/Oojami/ADF) and Elif Tarakci (Belly dancer).
Together they take their audience on a journey of chilled dub mixed with kaleidoscopic instrumentals, progressing through to up-tempo beats which never fail to get the dance floor heaving.
The show is also available as a DJ-Set
