About me: Dec.1st: Having reached the mountains in K-country, I was very fortunate to work on Inception's last days, of international filming; and I got to speak with my personal idol = Christopher Nolan!!(not to mention LeoDi sightings)~it has assured my recent decision to move back to Calgary & to transition from filmworker-to-Filmmaker...not the easiest of feats, but absolutely crucial. Soon, I'll be exploring minutae, by entering a 1-min short contest :) wish me luck
5/10/09 = A month-in to shooting Eclipse; and things are very swell. The vital vigor i've felt of recent has to do with a lot of things. Namely: the reactualization of love & the realizations to come..
Captain's Log~*date:13/06/09=having moved away from the camera union, about a month back, I completed working on NewMoon 2ndUnit as a Key/AD PA...I've used this time after wrap to really sharpen some necessary steps in being laterally prolific, in my career. I've attained: more gear (a mini steady-arm & lense adapters), headshots taken by a professional acquaintance, thinking of my final draft/brainstorming shorts, general mind-expansion, etc. Coupled with this zest for life, there has been the best Vancity weather streak in many years; and, of course, the finer things in life encourage creativity & social networking.
Anywho, feelin' pretty amazing in general and hoping to make some serious headway this summer.

UPDATE~Feb.23/08..Oh well0well!!..it's AMPAS night tomorrow & I'm psyched for that day off; because I've been busting my ass on "Space Buddies" (it's out in Ft.Langley & I know most of the crew from my last camera gig-->although, it's mildly demoralizing cuz I'm workin' locations...just to make ends meet by my next iatse669 rotation in March; and, I'm really hoping to be on the resuming "..Dr. Parnassus", especially, since I met Terry Gilliam a month ago!)...almost done the final 1/3rd of my script, too
Anyhew, time for beddie bye. Talk about workin' for the weekend!?

Dec.22/07=> Hey, anyone that's reading this!~i've found myself in a VERY posh & big villa, just outside Istanbul, living it up with my entire family (mum, paul, peter, jason, james:). It's xmas in a muslim nation!..I went to the super-mall; and got some sweet new clothes[i was in dire need]--{It's lovely to be pampered, and tonight I get to see the REAL istanbul~Taksim!..Peace and goodwill to you all, at this momentus holiday season*:~D
Update~Nov.17/07= I'm totally loving the unorthodox set practices, of the show I'm currently working on:ROBSON ARMS..a Canadian show that has really shown me how casual sets can be. My last Camera Trainee rotation on SG:Atlantis was super-fun; but this production has something extra in the way of occupational freedom..
UPDATE(JULY15/07): i HAVE COMPLETED THE PAINSTAKIN CALSSES TO ATTAIN CAMERA (TRAINEE) UNIONSHIP WITH IATSE LOCAL 669. i START MY VERY FIRST ROTATION TOMORROW(ON STARG8:ATLANTIS)
I MISS CALGARY AND WILL RETURN AT THE END OF AUGUST; WITH MORE THAN LEISURE ON MY PALATE.

What's up buddy!? So, I just worked on a feature that had Linius Roache (Thomas Wayne) in the cast. The guy is cool, and let me pick his brain for a bit. Talked about Begins, and Riddick. Made me think of you, so wanted to drop a line and say hello. I'm thinking that Dark Knight is one year too many away! Ought to be a good summer next year for realistic SuperHero films.
I'm pretty psyched about Dark Knight, too. Great casting. Can't wait to see Ledgers take on Mr. J!
