..dr. doctor.. formed in California in early 2005, their goal was to make music that they wanted to play. Members consisted as Cameron Thorne, Phillip Emerson, Johnny Coffeen, Ted Barton and Derek Busam. Experimenting with new sounds and ideas, they created enough songs to record a demo and play as many shows as possible. Through the spring and fall of 2005, they played many performances and drew crowds across California. They also ventured out on a Texas and back tour. Returning from the tour, they determined to make new music that would blow their audiences away. They made more songs and went into the studio. With all of the freedom to experiment in the studio, they took advantage of it. They asked their friend Lily Frame to come record harp and some vocals to add to the new sound. The band was blown away by her talents. They decided to make her a member of the band. The eccentric, electric ep was released in February, 2006. With many influences from many different genres of music, their sound is very diverse. Danceable beats, bass hooks, chaotic guitars, attractive piano/synths, elegant harp and catchy vocals are the equivalent of the dr. doctor sound. With a highly energetic live show that will astonish you, dr. doctor is the cure for the monotonous ordinary performance. ..The ..eccentric, electric ep.. is now available on ..iTunes & Rhapsody!..
