 Bio:Max Vähling (aka Jähling) is a German comics artist and self-publisher. Max Jähling zeichnet Comics und bringt sie selber raus. Max has been dubbed "uncrowned king of underground comics" by Comicwerk's Daniel Gramsch, but, being uncrowned, nobody noticed. Das Comicwerk hat Max mal als "ungekrönten König des schrillen Underground" bezeichnet, aber wie das bei Ungekrönten so ist, hat das keine großen Wellen geschlagen. Max veröffentlicht seit ca. 30 Jahren Comics. His first published work was an unreadable thing in a primary school class. That was in 1977, so you could say he's a veteran with a thirty year publishing history. Seit 2000 veröffentlicht Max im Eigenverlag Comics wie "Reception Man", "terrain vague", "Graf X" und "Monsterjägerin Conny Van Ehlsing. He has been self-publishing his comics since 2000, including titles like "terrain vague", "Reception Man" and "Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter" (a popular favorite). Of course, that was in German, so if you don't know any of these, he won't hold it against you. Er spricht zwei Sprachen fließend und ein paar andere nicht so.
