About DREAD THE MOMENT

Dread the Moment ist eine Band aus der kleinen Ortschaft „Türnitz“ im Alpenvorland von Niederösterreich. Die Band wurde April 2007 gegründet und wird beeinflusst von Metal und Hardcore. Diese Kombination, verpackt mit harten Riffs, mächtigen Breakdowns und unverkennbaren Melodien, verhalf der Gruppe im Sommer 2008 einen Indie-Plattenvertrag beim Musikverlag Vierundzwanzig zu unterschreiben.

Im Frühjahr 2009 wurde dann das erste Album „Through the Darkness“ unter deren Verlag veröffentlicht. Zeitgleich tourten sie mit dem Ungarischen Headliner „Ektomorf“ durch Mitteleuropa. Weiters supporteten sie andere Bands wie All shall Perish (USA), Cadaveres (H) und Debauchery (GER), nur um ein paar große Namen zu nennen.

Die nächsten großen Ziele der Band sind, ein neues Album aufzunehmen und noch mehr Live Erfahrung zu sammeln. In ihrem Heimatland Österreich kennt man Dread the Moment bereits, aber die Band arbeitet daran, sich auch im restlichen Europa einen großen Namen zu machen!

English Version

Dread the Moment is a band from the little Town “Türnitz” in Lower Austria. The band was founded in April 2007, and is affected by Metal and Hardcore. This is a combination of strong Riffs, abundant Breakdowns and distinctive Melodies. Dread the Moment signed in summer 2008 an Indie-Record Contract by Musikverlag Vierundzwanzig.

In spring 2009, their first studio – album “Through the Darkness” was announced under their Label. At the same time the band was on Tour with the Hungarian Metalband Ektomorf through Middle Europe. They also supported other famous bands like All shall Perish (USA), Cadaveres (H) and Debauchery (GER).

The next destination of this band is to record a new album and to collect more live-experience. Dread the moment enjoys a good reputation in their mother country , but the band works hard for a big name in the rest of Europe.
