About Dread Veil

Dread Veil began as a progressive/thrash metal band in December of 2003 in a small town in Eastern Washington. Several lineup changes and a relocation to Minnesota have shaped the band, as well as the music, into what they are today. The name Dread Veil represents our society's (or individual's) failure to acknowledge reality by cowering in the face of fear, an ideology that translates into the lyrics as well as other themes dealing with personal demons. This is a band that strives to be challenging both musically and lyrically, yet maintaining a balance between light and dark...
