Quality in any musical genre. Timeless sound. Industrial noise. Soothing calmness. Wind blowing throught trees. Syncopation-Iration-Vibration.

    Currently in my playlist:
Kevin Yost, Amos Lee, Joe Claussell, De-Phazz, Devandra Banhart, Ray LaMontagne, Entheogenic, Ott, Ben Watt, Gotan Project, Iron & Wine, Niyaz, Paolo Nutini, Reeble Jar, Rhythm & Sound, Savath & Savalas, Swayzak, Kruder & Dorfmeister/ Tosca, Big Bud, DJ Polar, Cosmos Corbin, Zero 7, Compost Records, Bob Marley & The Wailers, etc.

  • Movies

Classics of all types and periods.
Some of favorites include: 007 (Connery was the best Bond, no doubt about it), Lord of the Rings, BBC's Planet Earth series (seriously amazing), Animation Unlimited (1940- present), and Condorman, of course.
  • Television

NO T.V. - so as not to be subjected to the political, religious and corporate propaganda that saturates network programming. Fu*k Clear Channel and Sinclair media machines!
That being said, Mr. Show with Bob and David (1990's, HBO) is possibly the best thing to ever grace television.
  • Books

I think I read more off the internet now than I do in print (for good or bad, time will tell). Lately I've been reading a lot about organic gardening, permaculture, landscape design, rain catchment, micro-farming: everything I want to pursue in the future.

The lady and the monk by Pico Iyer, Journey to Machu Picchu by Carol Cumes, The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Shea & Robert Anton Wilson, Transfigurations & Sacred Mirrors by Alex Grey, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, The Cheese Monkeys by Chip Kidd, True Hallucinations by Terrence McKenna, A Fortunate Life by A.B. Facey, Manufacturing Consent & 911 by Noam Chomsky, The Story of B by Daniel Quinn, Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, Keith Haring: Journals, Street Logos by Tristan Manco, Area: Phaidon, End of Print: David Carson -- Magazines: Remix, Live Sound Journal, Lotus, National Geographic, On Earth (NRDC), Print

  • Heroes

All the simple people who've lived in stewardship with the earth, battled adversity, created beauty, kept showing love and keep working for positive change.

    - Inspirational words of wisdom:
"Because we all share an identical need for love, it is possible to feel that anybody we meet, in whatever circumstances, is a brother or sister. No matter how new the face or how different the dress and behavior, there is no significant division between us and other people. It is foolish to dwell on external differences, because our basic natures are the same.
Ultimately, humanity is one and this small planet is our only home. If we are to protect this home of ours, each of us needs to experience a vivid sense of universal altruism. It is only this feeling that can remove the self-centered motives that cause people to deceive and misuse one another. If you have a sincere and open heart, you naturally feel self-worth and confidence, and there is no need to be fearful of others.
I believe that at every level of society--familial, tribal, national, and international--the key to a happier and more successful world is the growth of compassion. We do not need to become religious, nor do we need to believe in an ideology. All that is necessary is for each of us to develop our good human qualities.
I try to treat whoever I meet as an old friend. This gives me a genuine feeling of happiness. It is the practice of compassion."
    - Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama -- from The Compassionate Life

"May the conscience and the common sense of the peoples be awakened, so that we may reach a new stage in the life of nations, where people will look back on war as an incomprehensible aberration of their forefathers!"
    -Albert Einstein
