It's hard to believe that August 2008 was the birth date of Dream Atlantic. A band whose talent far exceeds the number of months they've been together, this quintet from Richmond, Virginia molded together starting at three. Before August 2008, Dan, Brandon and Matt had been playing, writing and recording for what they knew was going to be a future band. Dan (on drums) and Matt (on guitar) have both been progressively perfecting their instruments and playing together for ten years. Brandon is on par with these two, on bass and guitar as what can only be described as "exceptional". Jesse joined the band after serving in Iraq for a year, picking up the guitar where he left off, on point with the others. Anthony's singing is beyond his young 18 years, which only begins to describe the quote "age is just a number".
Named for a dear friend Derek S. Best who passed away, Dream Atlantic are constantly looking for ways to improve their music. Derek is one of the biggest driving forces for Dream Atlantic and is remembered every time they step into the studio. Spending almost every weekend together in their self-built studio, they learned to record an album between the five of them. Through the ups and downs, not to mention trial and error, these five have pursued their passion and dreams and love every minute of it.
Dream Atlantic's upcoming debut album, Losing The Floor, is set to release June 23rd. You can catch them at shows this Summer and Fall!
I try to come to as many shows as I can...I just happened to go to the national that night cuz I'm friends wth the guys in archaia and they found her in pieces lol but yall sounded great lol yea yalls shirt is one of my favs to wear now even tho that might sound gay haha but o well...and your welcome haha ;)
