En ce début d’année 2012, Dreamcatcher sort son premier album, Emerging From The Shadows.

Vétéran de la scène metal parisienne, le chanteur Chris Garrel a été influencé depuis son plus jeune âge par le heavy metal. Il a pris une part active à ce mouvement musical en tant que fan, musicien, journaliste ou organisateur de concerts tout au long de ces 30 dernières années.

C’est fort de cette expérience qu’il a formé Dreamcatcher en 2001. Enregistré en 2006, l’EP 4 titres autoproduit Dreamcatcher reçoit un excellent accueil auprès des médias spécialisés en France et hors de nos frontières.

Le line-up s’est stabilisé depuis 2008 autour de Chris au chant, avec le recrutement de Denver et Geoff aux guitares, de Rado à la basse et de Nico à la batterie.

Le groupe évolue dans un registre heavy thrash qui combine des éléments rappelant Iron Maiden, Megadeth, ou encore Iced Earth. Loin d’être un plat copié/collé de ses idoles, Dreamcatcher défend une musique sans concession et pleine de caractère. Les compositions du combo, au son moderne et énergique, sont portées par un chant clair et puissant. Elles s’appuient sur d’excellents riffs, soutenus par des rythmiques lourdes et des soli de guitares efficaces.

Se produisant régulièrement en concert sur Paris, en province ainsi qu’à l’étranger, Dreamcatcher possède de sérieux atouts pour devenir une valeur sûre de la scène heavy metal française.

Dreamcatcher sort aujourd’hui, sur le label Brennus, son premier album Emerging From The Shadows qui ravira les amateurs du genre.

Veteran singer, Chris Garrel has been a heavy metal fan since he was a kid. As a fan, musician, journalist or promoter, he contributed to the development of the French metal scene for more than 30 years.

He founded the band Dreamcatcher in Paris, in 2001. Recorded in 2006, their self-produced four tracks EP Dreamcatcher was critically acclaimed by the press in France and abroad.
Current line-up, which remained the same since 2008, is Chris on vocals, Denver and Geoff on guitars, Rado on bass and Nico on drums.

The band draws inspiration from Iron Maiden, Megadeth or Iced Earth and has created is own sound, developing its own originality. Dreamcatcher is a band which plays heavy metal, but this a damn aggressive one. A bit like the US heavy and power metal bands, they play a nice mix of heavy and thrash metal, and even if it's melodic of course, we're always able to find strong loud riffs and rhythms. All this is accompanied by some excellent vocals and great guitars soli. The compositions are so powerful and interesting that you'll emerge into their world, forget everything else and bang your heads off!
