To dream of ferns: something good is around you or going to happen.
Dreaming Ferns are Butch, Rebekah, John and Jessica, They met through sheer coincidence, the kindness of strangers, and a random posting on craigslist. If someone broke into their cars and stole their cd's (and someone did by the way, karma's coming for you) they would find everything from Chopin to Bob Marley, Bessie Smith to Brasil 66, Jay Z to Johnny Cash, West Side Story to Sigur Ros, bulgarian women's choirs to AC/DC. And Stevie Wonder who gets a separate sentence because well, he's Stevie. Take all those influences and put them in a pot (or just get everyone together for rehearsal in Butch's garage) and you get a hearty helping of tastiness.
Here's how we break it down:
1 part Butch - drums, percussion, cowboy hat, and vocals
1 part Rebekah - lead vocals, monster keyboard
1 part Jessica - cello (with efx!) and vocals
1 part John - guitars, vocals, can of clarinet in back pocket
are you guys planning on playing in LA anytime soon? or anywhere close to that :) my friends and i were cruising and listening to your stuff on full blast :)
No way! I totally missed out :( I don't check MySpace much anymore, so I didn't see it until today (major bust). But if you guys create a group on Facebook, I'll totally join! Hell, I'll even create it myself :) so then maybe you guys can update us on events/shows/whatever! I have a couple other friends who also would loooove to see you guys play live Let me know if you guys are ever playing in/around LA again. It would make my lifetime :) I hope all of you are doing well. Keep doing what you do best.
