About me:
Dream Out Loud Films is a Los Angeles based non-profit independent television and film production company that specializes in true stories about people and events focusing on social and human rights issues. Dream Out Loud is dedicated to the creation of media projects that touch hearts, change attitudes and foster positive change.

Angeles In The Dust is a feature documentary about AIDS Orphans in South Africa. It is currently on Oscar Track with Participant Productions (An Inconvenient Truth & Syriana), the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, World Vision, and many other organizations are supporting the film.

Angels in the Dust has a "sister" project, The Ubuntu Bracelet Campaign. Ubuntu means "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you." The People of South Africa - where there is a 70% unemployment rate - are hired to make the bracelets and all the proceeds go back to the orphanages in South Africa. So it acts as a dual purpose campaign. The best part is, there are so many other foundations taking part in this, when you buy the bracelets, you can choose which foundation you want your money to go to.

Founder and president, Louise Hogarth, produced and directed the award-winning documentary The Gift which premiered at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival in 2003 and has since screened at more than 140 film festivals and continues to show worldwide and as part of HIV/AIDS educational programs. Hogarth also co-produced The Panama Deception, which won an Academy Award for Best Feature Length Documentary in 1994.

Dream Out Loud is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.

I just recently watched this film, and was so touched. Thank you so much for bringing their stories alive. I would love to see a follow up film. I too am a documentary film maker and this is the kind of work I aspire to dedicate my life to making. Thank you.
