Blue October (Essex), Swarf (Brighton), Relation (Southend), Dayfall (Ashford),

We have also exhibited the work of Brighton based artists Sara Abbott,
Karen Burt, Paul Bellingham and Bluelove,
Patrick Galway from Gosport, Margaret Sturton from Winchester, AND Art and short films by Lindsay Lowcock from Manchester
THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO DREAM SEQUENCE NIGHTS PLANNED, BUT IF WE RETURN, WE HOPE TO WELCOME THE FOLLOWING BANDS:
Dream Sequence launched on 1st February 2007, at The Sussex Arts Club in the heart of Brighton, with spectacular performances from The Deepcut Enquiry, Uberlaser, EJ Norman and 100 Bullets Back, original artwork by Sara Abbott and Bluelove, and DJ Chris Deliberate playing into the night....
It was a totally amazing night with fantastic performances from all the bands and amazing artwork by Bluelove and Sara Abbott. Big thanks also due to DJ Chris Deliberate and Mr. C Manderfield for the projections, and to all the staff at Sussex Arts Club. A truly fantastic evening and a great launch!
We continued in March with yet more fantastic art from Karen Burt, Patrick Galway and more from Bluelove, music from Codette, Blue October, Swarf and the incomprable Starbase 109!!! Big thanks also due to DJ Andrew Swarf and Mr. C Manderfield for the projections, and to all the staff at Sussex Arts Club. Another fantastic evening!
April's Dream Sequence saw an eclectic mix of performances with the laid back cool duo RELATION from Southend, the dark industrial electro of DAYFALL from Ashford - complete with amazing animation by Margaret Sturton, the ambient chilled break beats of MAVRO, and, finally, another slice of pure electro-synth-pop from EJ NORMAN and her band. Margaret Sturton's static art and Lindsay Lowcock's short films - projected by Mr. C Manderfield, completed the evening, which finished with a fab DJ set.
In May we welcomed electro male/female duo Deliberate from Brighton with mellow beats and soaring vocals, Silver Factory Superstars from Nottingham, polished electro pop songs with amazing visuals, Autons from Portsmouth - a slice of electro-rock, guitars fused with synths and vocals, and the pvc-clad Schmoof from London, with their own particular brand of retro-electro-pop and visuals. Art was by Manchester based painter and video artist Lindsay Lowcock, who produced visually stunning static pieces and projected visuals.
June '07 saw the 5th and final DS night for a while. Unfortunately we had 1 band that had to drop out at the last minute and another band who didn't show up - but, in true DS style, we pulled it together and still had a fab night, with band performances from EJ Norman and Byte Syze, and amazing dance-ambient music on synths and samplers from Immerss. Art was by Paul Bellingham, andour fab resident DJ, Mr. Blandford, supplied the incidental music and finished the evening with a great set.
We hope to return one day!

This collaborative monthly event showcases the work of artists and electronic musicians, who will work collaboratively together to create a series of innovative audio-visual performances.
Not only does Dream Sequence give the artists and musicians a chance to promote and showcase their work and talent, it also provides an arena in which artists can sell their work and musicians can gain exposure and new fans.
The Dream Sequence project initially comprises 5 evenings of showcase events from February to June 2007 - where art is exhibited and electro musicians perform with the same art projected as a backdrop to their music.
The idea behind Dream Sequence originated with Brighton's electro-pop songtress EJ Norman.....
"I found that electro artists and bands - as opposed to DJs - were getting sidelined in Brighton's music scene. Performance opportunities were only available as "live electronica" at a club night, and band nights were no-go due to the lack of "traditional" line-up in most electro bands.
I wanted to create an environment in which electro bands could thrive, - something that was just for us and not a club night! - and I also wanted it to be something that looked, as well as sounded, spectacular - which is where the idea for the artist collaboration came from"
Dream Sequence nights are....
Evenings of contemporary electro and synthesizer based pop and soundscape music, complemented by the work of artists who have created works in conjunction with the musicians to complement and enhance the music. A mutually beneficial and exciting collaboration that both showcases and promotes those involved whilst providing a great night of entertainment.
Dream Sequence is an innovative project, with massive potential for growth and to nurture and promote emerging talent.
