Dremora was a combination of 'old school' metal with modern orchestration, fueled by female operatic vocals compared with the following bands:
Nightwish, Epica, After Forever, Elis, Tristania, Therion, Dream Theater
DREMORA was a female-fronted symphonic metal project from America that mashed thrashy metal guitars with classical symphonic orchestration, then polished it with female operatic rock vocals, and snarling male gutturals. The project formed in 2006, and after a CD release followed by international airplay was retired in 2008. In 2009 the original founder moved on to form a full band of the same genre, but under a different name.
Dremora's only release was an EP entitled MARTYRS that contained 4 tracks, and went on sale August 4th, 2007. It is only available from select major retailers as a Digipak CD collectors edition, or a digital MP3 download.
Dremora was also part of two compilation albums. 'A World of Sirens' released August 2008 by Sonic Cathedral & Nuclear Blast, and 'Ferocity and Femininity' released July 2008 by Anthem Records NL. Each compilation contains a different remastered song off the MARTYRS EP. Autographed copies of the MARTYRS EP are available at Sonic Cathedral's site below. Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
