Welcome to the best value Recording Studio in Long Beach, CA - only $35/hour without sacrificing quality and experience.
My brand new studio is up and running!!!
I work on all different types of projects in the LA/OC area. As a producer/engineer I work out of my studio and at www.sound-asylum.com depending on the needs of the project (both of which have a great vibe and great equipment). I have the instruments and software to create great tracks in almost all styles of music. I am an Alum of Berklee College of Music and the LA Music Academy. Besides being a multi-instrumentalist with great instruments i have great relationships with a lot of studio musicians who can enhance your recordings.
As a bassist I do tracks from home or in any studio as well as live gigs and tours in all styles.
All the music here is stuff that I've engineered, played on, produced and/or written.

I'm a singer/songwriter working on my second album. I also work as a session singer and a back-up singer (L'oreal, Jessica Simpson). The way my vocals are recorded are extremely important to me. If my recording captures all the emotion, tone and passion that I have to give, its the difference between it really communicating and getting into the listeners' heart and psyche, and being just another tune. Drew has a particular ear for vocal recording and editing. I can count on him to get me exactly the result that I want. He's patient and thorough and his input in invaluable. With his expertise, I can relax and give a great performance. I love the recordings I get from his studio. AND - he's also a kick-ass bass player; extremely musical with a great feel! I've used him for live performances as well as my recordings and am always happy I did.

For Christmas, I hired Drew to put a band together to record a song that my seven-year old daughter wrote. The band Drew put together was great. In addition, Drew did a great job working with my daughter and did a great job with the mix. He is a one-stop recording shop. I would highly recommend Drew for anyone looking to record.
Sincerely,
Louis Greenwald

“It was a true pleasure working with Drew on our church's hymn CD, called Draw Me Nearer. Drew had a great portable setup that made it easy to record in our own church sanctuary. In addition to Drew’s superb knowledge of recording, his Pro Tools setup and his abundance of mastering plug-ins made for a great experience and an amazing recording.”

My name is Elisheva Shomron. I am primarily a composer and arranger of music, in Israel, but I also have a digital studio I operate from home.
Drew Allsbrook worked on a project with me, the biggest one I have ever handled, so far; I produced the soundtrack for a 90-minute, HD documentary film (produced in Israel), comprised of all original compositions by myself.
Drew is an excellent! sound engineer, talented, creative, and with wonderful technical expertise, which was borne out by the beautiful soundtrack (and accompanying 23-track CD) that is now on sale in this country at every tourist site, and beginning to be sold worldwide, with promising success.
Besides all of what I previously mentioned, Drew is passionately dedicated to the work he produces...both in heart, creative ideas, and work ethic (he strives for excellence in every detail).
During our work on the aforementioned project, in which we worked intensely together for 4 weeks, (@ 85 hrs, a week, and then 2 months mixing back in CA), I can say I wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone else but Drew...he is an serious and, again, dedicated worker, and capable of the highest of standards.
While producing this soundtrack together, Drew also arranged much of the songs we used, played Bass guitar (really HOT bass guitar), acoustic, sang solo and background vocals, coached vocalists, brilliantly programmed the drum tracks, and then, back in LA, supervised and arranged the additional lead, acoustic guitars, as well as violin and rhythm. The outcome was stunning, not only my opinion, but that of the Producer of the movie, (Reuven Dorot) and his sound engineers (for effects and mix to movie) and his scriptwriter/director.
In short, I highly recommend Drew Allsbrook as someone who is multi-faceted in his talents and creativity, dedicated to excellence, great to work with, and someone who has a truly bright future ahead in both the music performance and sound recording worlds.
DREEEW, Im good, back in cold sweden, but the weather is getting better i must say, Im just trying to do music and its going both good and bad, you know.... How are you? Hugs
Hey Bro! Great to hear from you. That's awesome that you're doing music full time... I've been doing the same down here in SD for a while now. We should definitely get together. I haven't heard from you in so long, and I'd love to hang out and catch up! Let me know if you're ever coming down this way.
" IMPOSSIBLY beautiful woman and equally glorious music! A landscape of beautiful sandy beaches mixed with a steady diet of be-bop, folk, afro-latin, soul, blues & gospel music gave MAYA the ingredients to create her own sound which resonates through a variety of genres." - Featuring Deacon Jones (John Lee Hooker); Larry Campbell (Levon Helm); Skip Edwards (Lucinda Williams); Jerry Jumonville (Dr. John); Tony Gilkyson (Bob Dylan); Danny 'Kootch' Kortchmar (Carole King); Jimmy Cobb (Miles Davis), Marcy Levy (Eric Clapton); The Reverend Lois Dejean's NOLA Gospel Choir, Sir Tony Martin, etc...
