Drew & the Medicinal Pen "dream, dream, fail, repeat" $6.00
"These songs are clever, earnest, well performed, and worthy of your time. I haven’t stopped listening since I bought the EP... everyone I know needs to hear this."
                                                   -Pulver Radio
"Whistles and chugging guitars punctuate Drew & the Medicinal Pen's folksy bedroom pop, which is always nice. We're going to go daydream now."
"What's hard to miss about this album is its infectiousness."
                                                    -Blow Up Radio
"Songs that would go great on a Wes Anderson soundtrack."
"(Drew's) music reminds us of the traveling souls we have met and bonded with on occasion... it's his edge that intrigues us."
-The Fevered Brain                                                            of Radio Mike
A friend spotted this in a magazine.          Apparently they're being hand-pressed on marble          somewhere out in LA. Check it out:
"Drew is a day-dreamer and late-sleeper. He is a doodler and entrepreneur. He also makes music, lots of music: cigarette-butts-in-Chinese-food, insomniac, vodka-breathe, bedroom-pop music. Late at night, he draws graffiti of dead TV's. He is scrappy and young, and moved to NYC from Philadelphia. He currently resides in Bed-Stuy where he plays shows regularly and survives on a diet of tuna and spaghetti. "
I have terrible news also. My best friend will be singing or screaming or grunting or something the night of your show. I have to see her perform before I see you. Its a terrible situation. And im only gonna be in the north east from july 22 until the 29th. I dont think you had any other shows between then. what a bummer... I know it would have been what my heart desires.
im pretty very extremely stoked much. i will be swooping outta new mexico up to tennessee across to miss ippy up to the haven of connecticut and rockin my head to your sweet beats.
i searched long and hard for it in video stores and on ebay before someone put it on youtube. anyway, the skit comes from a weird dream elliott had that the record label told him his strumming hand wasn't accurate enough and he had to replace it with, yep, a robot hand. the future!
anyway, yes, let's play a show/screen da movie sometime.
honestly, i think you should just put out a record covering songs that inspired you, but that's just my opinion. though i'm definitely looking forward to your next release. my hope is for it to come out on wax, but i'll be cool with whatever way i hear it. oh, actually i believe it's a bouncing souls quote. a girl i've been crushing on drew it for me.
so this is what happened. sorry for the delay. I was trying to find another way to post this..but it's come to this. yo....you the best. coffee. remember. coffee.
