Sounds Like
Electric Band; Bluesy, Jazzy, Funky, Soulful music sometimes with vocals, sometimes not. The instrumental tunes are guitar driven, a blend of many styles, feels and tones. Hopefully the same"guitar voice" rings true throughout. The vocal, electric tunes are more of a blues rock feel, four on the floor, with jazzy accents.
Acoustic stuff; Songs with some electric guitar for texture, focus on the melody and lyrics.,

"Wilson discovered Drew Bentley, when he substituted for a Soul Searchers guitarist during a parish event in March. Wilson said she was so impressed with his guitar playing that she booked his group, The Drew Bentley Band, for the festival on the spot. Bentley, who owns Bentley and Romito Professional Music Lessons in Penn Township, said his three member blues and rock band has performed together in the area for 10 years, but this is its first church festival performance. Bentley plans to perform a broad range of familiar songs that will appeal to people in all age groups. " The more that people are into it, the better you play." Bentley said. It's all about them, trying to make sure we connect with the people that are listening."
I, Drew Bentley am a guitar player/singer/songwriter/music instructor(co owner of Bentley & Romito Professional Music Lessons 724-744-1090) who hails from Pittsburgh Pa. I perform regularly with the Drew Bentley Band, play solo acoustic gigs, and play solo jazz guitar at weddings and other functions.
I spent a good bit of time at CCAC as a music major and Duquesne University, as a performance major in the Jazz Guitar dept back and forth, while gigging to help foot the bill.
After college I began to teach the guitar and gig, as I still do today.
Some bands I've been a part of are; the Business Men, The Highway Riders, The Electrifiers, The Soul Searchers, Jazz in a Box, the Insomniacs, etc.
I have performed with the El Derado Kings and Soul Village and others.
During much of the last decade I was the D. in JD strum, and, along with Jeff Marks, recorded (Just Another Story). The album is a good representation for our(JD Strum) musical time spent. We were fortunate to play on the 102.5 WDVE Coffee House, WBXQ Q94 Backyard Rocker, The Acoustic Hour 1160 AM WCCS, WLER 97.7 FM Butler Pa., WIUP radio( me solo) etc.
We got to open for Sister Hazel, Brent Micheals, and play second stage for DMB, Kansas, and Deep Purple.Together we won the 2004 Pittsburgh Songwriters contest. It was a good run.
In 2005, 2006 and 2009 I managed to win the Guitar Center, King of the Blues guitar competition for store 802. That was fun.
I am currently working on recording a number of songs that will eventually become, I believe, two new cds.

Mark Dignam has been bumping into Paul Luc and Ben Shannon a lot, at Treelady Studios, where they are all working, on their upcoming albums. They admire each others work so much, they decided to put together what promises to be, a mini singer/songwriter festival.. Watch for special guests and a very memorable night at The Rex Theater, 1602 East Carson Street. Pittsburgh, PA 15203. 8pm. $10.

The sound of jackhammers and heavy machinery tell me that we're making progress as we continue to build the Shamelessplug.com, our... scratch that YOUR Indie Community website. We've just completed our YouTube channel, but it's kind of lonely without you there, so we're calling on you independent artists and labels to populate it. Use our channel to be heard by more listeners. Use our channel to be seen by more music fans. Use our channel as an outpost to build your online presence.
We're building this tool for you...and we don't even know you YET! (it's funny how when the exclamation point is right next to yet, how it looks like YETI, but you know what it takes all kinds, we hope Shamelessplug.com will be the home of the first all-Yeti psychobilly band, we're cool with yetis [it's probably plural without the 's', like Jedi] we're down with Sasquatches even [don't ask me the plural form of that one, got no clue there], yeah but we're open for anything, as long as they're not major label yetis, they hella suck) We're providing this platform to change that. We're providing it because we want to know you, and we want everyone else to know you, too.
So...LOAD IT UP! Send us a link to your YouTube video. We've got lots of room. Are you a local garage rock legend from Milwaukee? Are you a laptop maestro from Mozambique? Are you a throwback to the golden era of hip-hop from Golden, Colorado? Just tell who you are, your song title, and your musical genre. We'll create the playlists accordingly for the whole wide world to see. If your video is chosen to be on our Main Video page, you'll be the first to know.
So spread the word. Take it viral. Get more exposure.
