Such things would be fuzz distortion and jangly guitar riffs, mid-century modernism, bowling pin lamps, pearl snaps, ahi tuna steaks cut into inch and a half bricks and seared for fifteen seconds a side, Miller High Life, Persian rugs, letterpress art, piping, dovetail joints, pedicures, classic athletic aesthesis, wheatgrass, flip-flops, falafels, Coke products, most things that are orange, good wine, baseball, Farmer's Markets, and Midwesterners.
I am in a continual state of renewal. I feel the traces I leave are few but I travel heavy, my brother and sister are probably my best friends ever, and although I moved out here for the weather and a strange insatiable urge for all things Los Angeles, now that I am here I realize that eventually I will move back to the icy climes and green, green grass of home.
I'm not always happy but lately I've been on a good run. A bad day can turn into a good one with some baseball tickets, a late lunch on 3rd and Fairfax, or a cruise through the furniture galleries and antique shops on La Brea.
I spent the past however-many years following in my dad's footsteps in advertising to take the fork in the road and follow mom's as an interior designer. In the past decade I've been everything from bartender to art director to customer service rep to field manager to swing dance instructor to event promoter to kitchen planner. I would someday like to drive a bobsled and have my own show on the Food Network. Currently, I design the room settings at a place you most likely have bought furniture.
My personal goals include but are not limited to owning my own house or condo, participating in a family-owned business, finally getting out of debt, and stumping the Schwab. And right now, there is no other place I'd rather be than right here, right now...except maybe front row center at a Jesus Jones show.
Who I'd like to meet: people whom I have actually met. And if I haven't seen your band live, don't ask.
Hey Drew! thanx for the reply, I'll reply with a comment. That's cool that we're neighbors now! LETS GO DODGERS LETS GO! and nope I don't work at cpk(the dump in glendale where I sliced pizzas) anymore, My last day there was 12/31/07. Now I work for an attorney/court services company.... I've been there for a year, at some point I was working in both places... See you around dude!
