  • General

    general? what does this even mean? i like life. people. god. music. sports.

  • Music

    i enjoy listening to every genre. seriously, every single one. however, the certain genre or artist i like most is always changing. it honestly completely depends on my mood. my mood dictates the genre. the genre dictates my mood. i definitely tend to stay away from emo music.. but that's about it. right now.. i'm actually kinda feeling the good r/b rap song with a good beat. i like jack johnson all the time. incubus is real good. john mayer definitely has his place. and i definitely don't mind the top iTunes songs either.. good to have a variety.

    i also enjoy playing the piano and guitar. i kinda feel bad because i never played piano in the younger years, i was basically forced to play for the past 14 years and i kind of regret not playing. guitar.. i'm alright for teaching myself.

  • Movies

    i find it difficult to watch one movie more than a few times, no matter how excellent it was the first time, which is kind of ironic. when i was a kid, i always watched the same movies, probably hundreds of times. movies i enjoy now? um. mood dependent again. i like comedies, thrillers, mind-poking movies. the ones that make you think and ones that have cliche lines and touching moments (no homo). but seriously, i like movies that grab your emotions and shake them up a bit.

  • Television

    i don't watch much tv. at all. i never have time, and the time i do have, i'd rather be out somewhere.

  • Books

    i don't read either. it's starting to sound like i don't like anything. i just have better use of my time. homeworking, hanging, sporting, stuff like that.

  • Heroes

    Jesus christ. he's a real hero. anybody who did something that inconvenienced themselves just so they could help others. that's a hero. my parents. honestly, they are heroes. for endless reasons. but one that comes to mind.. or house got broken into by armed men, my mom was held at gun point, yet, she still had the love for her children to beg for our safety and not her own. my dad tackled the other down the stairs, who was armed, to save his family. both acts took a man and woman, hero and heroine to pull something off like that.

About me:

i am drew gentry. it's too much to ask of a single person to describe about themselves. you learn about one through their actions, inactions, and decisions. also, during times of hardship, challenge and tragedy one's true character traits are allowed to leak through, it's the way i, and every human was build.
i suppose i like college, a lot. i'm at the university of michigan pursuing my degree in chemical engineering. i am on plan to graduate with a double major with material science engineering.
i'm quite religious, however i do not know my exact beliefs. all i know is that the big guy upstairs gave me this life out of love and compassion and i wish to pass that same love on to this world to make it a safer place to live.
of course every human is prone to imperfection and i sway from the loving path. but i do try my hardest.
i like people in general. everybody has something fascinating about them, whether you think "what the hell was he thinking" or "i totally understand her." people interact. i like to interact. i like to hang out, i like to talk, even though i'm very quiet around people that i do not know very well. i like to have the opportunity to meet people.
what else do i like? i like resting, a lot. especially just chilling with friends, talkin about the most random shit you have ever heard in your life.. it's just relaxing. i like music.. which will be elaborated below in the section labeled Music.
i enjoy sports. i like running. it's so relaxing. soccer is definitely my favorite sport. i also enjoy playing basketball, golf and the occasional round of disc golf.
now that my life story is basically completed in this section i shall move on.

    haha, well of course. i admire him because of his bravery and courage to take on the world without security or a definite path. his reasoning and perspective of everything isn't necessarily the same as mine. i think he's too much of a liberal. hah.

    thanks, it sounds pretty good... i have this huge list of bands that i want to download once i get a new computer for college. hah. still have all your music on my iPod... don't mind it though, cause there's so much on there i don't know at least half of the bands. it's been awhile.

    yeah i was out for about 3 weeks with a deep bruise in my deltoid as the doctors would say, i just got back for our games last weekend and we lost to cadillac for the first time in school history for hockey, hah. school is going good, but since im taking actually hard classes this year, the homework starts to pile up. looking forward to the christmas break? we've already had 3 snow days, soon to be 4, and more snow then we had all last year together.

    i can't wait to go skiing. if i could drive, i would have been begging to go today. i need to check the schedule, pretty sure there's a trip over winter break, maybe we could all go.

    I LOVE THE AKON CD, makes me want to dance. listened to it this morning, put me in a good mood actually. it's like rapp...but danceish and you can actually sing to it and not feel stupid trying to rap. kayne's i like some songs, but not really of them.

    akon's is soooooo better.
    kinda funny, i never really liked rap until lately
