I was born and raised in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I am happy to say that music has always been a major aspect of my life.
I got my start in hip hop music at the age of 19 while attending Marshall University in Huntington, WV. A group of my friends had started an independent hip hop group and I wanted to join. I knew nothing of hip hop at the time, but I quickly learned the ropes.
After the group officially disbanded in 2008, I began seriously working on my own solo project. So, here we are now close to the end of 2009 and I am reworking the tracks, but what can I say, sometimes you just gotta keep working until you get it right.
With that being said, I am heading to the studio at the middle of October to work on recording my debut album entitled “By The Way” set to release sometime Spring 2010.
Until then, you can catch me at some local shows handing out free cds with the first single from the album “Don’t Doubt Me.” I guarantee you’ll love it.
Thanks for the love and support and check back often!
I LOVE Don't Doubt Me. You've turned that into a fantastic original. By the time I got to the bridge, I was straight worshiping! I love that you're singing more on tracks these days, it really meshes well with your style and sound.
Hi Drew Temple Are you looking for beats for an upcoming project (mixtape/album)? Ima a producer from Holland, and I got straight heat. My last mixtape was even reviewed in the Source. You can listen/buy the track@
No problem at all, thank you for being on the show. On the WMUL page www.marshall.edu/wmul we have up an abbreviated version of the interview. It was cut down to about 26 minutes, so there is also that. Again, bring me a CD and I will be more than glad to burn that for you.
cool bro, just lemme know when u will be here and everything on saturday.. we are singing sunday now at 8pm... but yeah man were definitely not upset and everything is cool.. were excited to hang out again.. we will see u in a couple weeks.. much love..b
hey bro.. what u got goin on after u sing at One Voice on Saturday? were doin a block party in Steubenville at like 5 or so...and were thinkin maybe u could do a few songs.. i see that ur the only rap dude on saturday at One Voice now.. so if u wanna hook up, i can ride with u to One Voice, then chill for a minute up there after ur set then come back and do that block party if ur down.. One Voice is only 30 mins or so from my house, so even if u were plannin on goin home saturday night.. the block party will be over as soon as were done singing, so u could make it back home by 11pm..lemme know man.. btw sorry for the lack of responses, it just hit me today that u might think i was mad or upset with u and i wasnt and/or are not.. lol.. that sounded confusing, hope u understand it..but if not just know we aint mad or anything and still wanting to do some stuff with u.. btw the label thing (Xbanga) is somewhat still on and were heading to virginia in about an hour or so, and sing tomorrow morning at Kings Dominion, so please keep that in your prayers.. much love drew temple.. also add us on facebook (search for kalledout).. much love.b
