Bio
Former member of The Reel DJ's (athletico/acid Jazz/All Seeing Eye) Club DJ from 95 to 98 era. Left the music scene and now back in to home producing and mixing. Used to DJ under the name Micky G. Micky G now makes music under the name of Dr Freebs in his home studio (Relax Studios). Micky uses Cubase with VST plug ins and Reason. He is self taught in programming and takes piano and music theory lessons. The name Relax Studios is fitting because music should never be rushed, and with a home studio you can stop and start whenever the mood takes you. In the last 10 months music of all styles has been produced from Ambient, funk, jazz, chill out and atmospheric drum and bass. Main collaborators include Lee Seager (Lewah), Harvey Seager. Harvey Seager supplies the Trumpet on many projects. He has been playing the Trumpet for for over 50 years, and is a real musical genius. He is also a whizz on the guitar and the keys and occasionally blesses the tunes with some sweet improvisation when the jam hits the brick wall. Lee Seager son of the Harvmeister shares his fathers talent and has been taught by him to play the guitar. Lewahs style is blues, funk and jazz and can easily produce a dope riff over any track that is in progress. With the Seagers on the project most tracks take little time to start sounding special. Lee also graces the turntables occasionally with some technical scratching that he mastered back in the day when he used to be an old skool hip hop junkie. New to the set up also is the man Dave Kirby who also makes music as the shadow play orchestra. He has just kitted himself out with a studio and already is making some quality tunes. Dave plays guitar, bass and flute to name a few, never afraid to rock so shortly the Dr Freebs collective will be needing some new speakers. Other collaborators include anyone who comes round to the house while a tune is being made. People like Ron Evelyn on Reggae Jumps who is a Jamaican 83 year old who is blind. After a glass of rum he managed to spit some fine flowing wisdom over the whole track. Not to mention Keith (dude) Gallant who never does anything but loves to say he practically made every single tune.
