About me: Free spirit stuck in a human body that was saved by grace. I am a Marine and I am a poet. I have been writing poetry since my freshman year in high school. I have been published multiple times through various poetry contests, mostly through the International Library of Poetry (Poetry.com) where I have received multiple editor's choice awards and Semi-Finalist in every contest I've entered. Most of my poetry is romantic, but I have also written prayers and some worship song lyrics. I am also in the process of developing a full length book in which I will include my poetry. Someday I hope to turn this love of writing into a "career." I would like my work being well known BEFORE I die, unlike the fate of most artists.

oh my gosh! i am so sorry to hear. i am sick to my stomach. derek truely was special to me too. in high school he always took a moment to say hello or help me out in class or walk with me for a moment to make sure i was alright. and i regret not having more time to chat with him back then cuz i would have seen that we had alot in common and could have been really great friends. im glad he found you and was able to share his inner beauty with you. all the good times i see you shared. i wish i could have been closer to you two. god must have thought he needed derek up there with him for some reason sooner than later. it was always hard for me to understand death like this. i have lost two g grandmas and 2 grandpas and an aunt and uncle recently. and my friend lost her mother and grandma recently and my other friend lost her husband too. it truely is a difficult thing to understand. my husband and i enjoyed all the songs on this page. he too is still suffering from the loss of his dad and brother 11 years ago.
