   About DR HAT
Laura and Kirsten were always making up stupid little songs in the early years about girls called Josephina and men called Stan amongst others, but it wasn't until much later that they realised that they should form a band, 'cos, let's face it, who doesn't want to be in a band? Eddie Argos demanded that one be made, so the two got to work. A text was sent to mutual friend, Jonny telling him to learn keyboards and get onboard as he needed to provide sex appeal to teenage girls and gays and things began to get underway.
"But we need a name!"
Suffering from an inspirational drought, this took longer than anticipated and it was decided that DR HAT must be used for its hidden deep and meaninful...meaning. This may be revealed to you someday, but only if you ask nicely...
So, the three were pretty unsure of their roles. It had originally been thought that Laura would be on guitar, with a second guitarist being recruited at a later stage, but she quite fancied the idea of drums some days. Kirsten was due to take up bass duties, until she realised that she quite fancied the idea of prancing around, mumbling into a microphone. Later she discovered that the lap steel was a gorgeous instrument, so set off to learn that AND mumble into a microphone. Jonny, was originally set for keyboarding stardom, until seeing a documentary on the Sex Pistols and coming up with the premise that "If Sid Vicious could play bass, then so can I." not wanting to break his wee heart, Kirsten neglected to tell him that Sid couldn't really play bass, so Jonny started learning the ways of the four-stringed beast. So, with a guitarist, a mumbler/lapsteeleriser and a bassist, they set off on their journey.
To this day, the troublesome trio continue to search for the rest of their band...

YOW!
Like it...
Are you going to be a bit like Gorillaz and just have DeathRainbow on stage at gigs (maybe a bigger or animated version) doing the songs, and you all behind a screen, playing and singing?
