Lyndon, Jarrod and Peter have all had many years experience in previouse bands, footings on which DriftWood now firmly rests. The band, with their roots pulling inspiration from a vast lake of influences, have culminated their efforts to form a sound they call home. Like a flowing river, Driftwood floats the audience through a magical journey. Peaceful melodic undercurrents meld in and out of their music creating an almost eary calm at times. But this river cruise is not for the weak hearted, oh no. You see, some times a river just needs to get from one place to another in the shortest possible manner. As this now rampageous torrent boils toward its destiny you may like to notice that the 'fasten your seat belt' lights have been lit. Its time to strap yourself in baby and feel the G's! Rock and roll didn't get its name from a bunch of flower lovin' hippies singing songs about clouds. Its time to get tribal. Driftwood knows how to deliver a typhonic onslaught of energy that, pending scientific evidence, is probably visible from space.
The line-up is traditional. Bass (Jarrod Piltz), drums (Peter Avard) and guitar (Lyndon Jarman), with Lyndon handling lead vocals. In contrast to a lot of music these days, DriftWood's songs focus on a message of hope. While a lot of bands perform to build themselves up, giving glory to themselves, Driftwood's songs draw attention back to the listener. They contain a message that uplifts and sets free.
