DRILL 187 has its own unique musical niche and sound, but can be compared to bands such as Sevendust, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Godsmack, Ill Nino, Non-Point, Metallica, Soil, Flaw, etc, etc....
Drill 187, a blistering five-piece that hails from Raleigh, NC, tempers aggressive music with melodic vocals and incomparable songwriting to create a unique sound in a world set upon by generic clones. This makes for a dynamic, heavy-hitting live experience that has attracted a loyal regional fan base.
The band unleashed its first full-length album "The Faceless Majority" on September 3rd, 2002. With a national radio campaign and distribution in place, Drill 187 was set to catapult to the next level.
"The Faceless Majority" is a dozen tracks of furious riffing, pounding rhythms and searing vocals delivered by a five-man band destined to make a mark on the metal community. Selling over 3500 copies of "Faceless" to date, it is a perfect follow-up to an eponymous EP released in 1999 that had already afforded the group critical acclaim and commercial success, selling 2500 copies of that disc.
After a 2 year hiatus, Drill 187 has reformed in late 2007 and is back on the scene again! Armed with a strong early years group line-up, writing new music, endless ambition and a strong DIY attitude, Drill 187 is a band on the rise...Stay tuned to this page for new stuff and updates as they happen, tons of new stuff is coming soon...And so is Drill 187, coming soon to a stage near you!! STAY HEAVY!!!
I really hate I missed your last reunion show guys and gal! But the wedding was late getting started and by then it wasn't advisable for me to drive anywhere other than the house. Looking forward to the new project though!
