Who I'd like to meet: RIP Mike Wieringo. You will be missed. My prayers go to him, and his friends and family during this difficult time. He was one of my favorite artists, My favorite Spidey artist, it truly is a sad day.
Drink and Draw Social Club: NYC's Friend Space (Top 12)
Hey everyone sorry for the lack of updates. This week has been a little hectic professionally. I will post a scan of the two completed drawings I did. Again no pics, I was boneheaded enough to leave it, but I will definitely have pics for the next one which I will work very hard to make it an event equal to the great night the other D&DSC's had that night.
Hey there NYC, you still alive or did your first event kill you? Milwaukee pics are up (though the pre-event cocktails drastically effected all results).

I had a pretty good turn out. I had 4 people show up, but it's the quality not the quantity, and these were some quality guys. Big shot out to Gary and POOPS McGEE for coming out and doing some top notch work. Shot outs also go to Mcgee's friends who came out, and got their first. Also some good people, with some great skills! I actually ended up going to a friend's birthday who was having it across the street after the drink and draw ended, so I was pretty drunk by the time I got home. Sadly I have no photos of the event because I left my camera at home. I promise it won't happen again. Sounds like we had a pretty good three way (man I wish I was talking about chicks). Long live Drink & Draw!!
Well, that went awesomely! We had loads of people turn up (I'll have to get a tally of figures today) and there was some genuinely fantastic pieces of art produced! Especially by the guys from Midway- they really make you have to up your game a few notches! We kept on drinking till about 2AM so if my computations are correct, we should have officially handed over the inaugural torch to you guys for your 9PM start. I'll let you know when I get all the stuff scanned in and all the even photos downloaded. I hope you had a great night and that everything went well.
We've got a fancy function room booked with our own staff and choice of movies and music. Looks like it's going to be swish. We'll be taking loads of pictures for our joint birthday bash and might look at setting up a webcam to record the horror! Now I need to buy a bucket of pens and some chipboard...
I'm just about to start the first UK chapter of DDSC, but we're currently location scouting (drinking). I've got family in New York so it's got a special place for me- what would you think about us trying to synchronise our foundings? Like a joint birthday. Might be cool.
