Drive Carefully Records is a fresh new label that promotes interesting and varied non-profit shows in 13th Note Cafe, Glasgow. We have been doing this in one form or another since March 2006. On the third Saturday of the month there are three bands and three DJ sets. We also release records.
There are no headliners as such. Everyone gets a thirty minute set and everyone playing gets paid the same, the way it should be. Artists and bands are treated as bands and artists - and not a way for greedy promoters to make money. If you would like to be considered for one of our nights, please send us a wee message or get in touch through the website.
En route to supporting the legendary Electric Prunes, psychedelic Swedes La Fleur Fatale drop in to Pivo Pivo, Waterloo St, Glasgow to join us for a Full Tilt Boogie from 8pm on Thursday 3rd July. Support from Bo Deadly and Dennis Law Jnr. www. myspace. com/lafleurfataletheband
Stoo, Yr Ronn would enjoy nothing better than to be sitting in Glasgow talking to his friends he misses VERY much about music & Syd Barrett. Alas,he is helping his daughter with Uni money which leaves little for travelling. Luckily,yr Ronn is continuing to write & record new songs which you will be hearing soon. I think maybe we should plan on spending our birthday together. I'll be there on the second of March. Deal?
By the way, I want to invite you to my MySpacefriends group. Can you join my group "HIROHO music friends"? Do you have any informations or news? If you join to the group, please post it at the group Forum please!! And then we can share the informations or news of group members!!

"Produced by ¡Forward, Russia!'s Tom Woodhead, debut single A Fire Born In Dallas (released on the Pay For The Piano imprint) finds post-hardcore and prog influences welded together to create a sound that is both vulnerable and self-assured. Admittedly, the usual influences of Fugazi and At The Drive-In are worn pretty obviously, but the band are far more than mere copyists.
Indeed, at their single launch they offered an intense and impassioned performance, with snare cracks and upstrokes reverberating around the venue.
Ever Since The Lake Caught Fire, it would seem, have more than enough firepower in their sonic arsenal to kick some of the music world's feted young pretenders into touch. " The Metro
Don't know if someone else has already got back to you but Jane only told me last night. Don't think Uni is going to be gigging on the Saturday night so don't hold out for her. I actually took one of her cds to NPL for you and you weren't there! Outrageous! Maybe I just didn't see you...
Don't worry about it. She may be getting an early flight on Sunday anyway so might just play somewhere like Tchai Ovna that night. I don't really know, I get confused with when she's coming and going.
